6 Months Online - A Quick Recap and What’s Next : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

After about 8–9 months of building quietly, our platform has now been live and active for about 6 months. Here’s a brief look at where we stand:

216 registered members

23 active online ads

81 trades completed

7.1 BTC total turnover via swap/aggregator

We’ve run with 0% trading fees during this time to allow for real-world testing and steady growth. As planned, starting July 1st, we’ll introduce a 1% fee on all trades to support the project’s continued development.

We are not here to get rich.
We are not here to promote illegal activity.
We are here to support privacy, freedom, and the values Monero stands for.

We believe in transparency, and we’re here to stay.
Check out what we’ve built. Use it. Test it. Help us improve.
Thanks to every single member who’s been part of this so far.

81 trades completed congrats that sounds like a low number but the 7.1 turnover clearly shows being used for large sums interesting good luck with the project and I know people have been looking to trade since local monero shutdown.

Thanks! Just to clarify, the 81 are P2P trades and the 7.1 BTC is the total turnover from the swap via our aggregator, not P2P. Hope that makes it more clear.

Shame about the P2P part I know local monero and I think people use haveno and bisq now but not sure about how I feel, they do the job but require some work.

Any fee's or requirements to sell there and whats common cash by mail or other crypto?

No, this is not an option.

PGP is required for login and registration by design. Anyone seeking privacy and near-anonymity should take the time to understand and properly use PGP. Removing in-site encryption would undermine the core principles we stand for: security, privacy, and user responsibility.

We appreciate your feedback and your support, thank you.

The site can only read messages that users choose not to encrypt themselves. If a message is auto-encrypted by the system, it's still cleartext and not private and we make that CLEAR in the interface.

To keep messages private, users must encrypt them locally with the recipient's PGP key. When that’s done, even the site cannot read the content and that’s exactly how it should be.

If you're sharing sensitive info, it’s up to you or the other party to encrypt it locally before sending. Users often reply with short answers like “yes” or “no” or share non-sensitive information. By requiring the other party to decrypt even these small messages, we create a habit and over time, they may start encrypting locally by default. It’s part of gradually shifting toward stronger privacy.
We’re actually the only exchange that requires PGP for registration and site access. No one else goes this far to enforce user responsibility. At some point, we will remove the auto-encryption option completely, to encourage proper PGP usage.

So sorry, I’ve mistaken you for another website with a similar name.
Still, if you do have auto-encrypt, the same applies.

This is actually huge! Proud of you and thank you for everything you've done for the community. After the incompetent devs of OpenMonero managed to ruin their reputation, I can see XMRGlobal being a successor of LocalMonero. Props to you, the site looks awesome! Also you've just got a new user, btw why don't you advertise more on Reddit? I can see a lot of potential in that.

Thanks a lot! We really appreciate it. As for Reddit, feels a bit too communist and mod-heavy for our taste, Glad to have you here!
