As we know now, Archetyp was seized. I'm not going to talk about how to have proper OPSEC when running a market, but I am going to talk about how to have proper OPSEC when you are a vendor, a buyer, a browser, or maybe just a Dread user.

1. Use a highly reviewed VPN. Mullvad is a highly recommended one but it's not the end all, be all. Your main important factor in a VPN is that they do not keep logs. You should be able to find this in your search. Pay with crypto! VPN's hide your Tor usage from your ISP. Your ISP doesn't need to know what the hell you are doing and the VPN can't see what you are doing on Tor. It's a great relationship. Nobody knows what the hell you are doing.

2. All pictures have secret data called exif data. You NEED a tool to remove this when uploading any images here or anywhere else on the clearnet, honestly. Do not trust websites to do this for you. Sure, they might remove it for the general public but they will keep all the data themselves.

3. Do not click clearnet links. There are tools and websites that can scrape your IP address and other data about you when you click on the link even if it goes to a innocent looking site. LIKE FUCKING IMGUR. Now, your VPN will be of use here if you decide to be a dumb-dumb and open one of those links. This is why we have the VPN.

4. Do not private message accounts on here that you don't know and be weary of the ones that you do. I RARELY ever answer private messages. Maybe once every few months. I have 10 pending right now. Not even opening them. Sorry if you are one of the ones that message me but it's just not my style.

5. For God's sake...THE BARE MINIMUM OPSEC...PGP encrypt your fucking address. Holy shit, I can't even believe some people don't do this. If this sets the bar for OPSEC, it's just chilling on the floor.

6. Use a Linux distro. Look, with the rise of AI and technology, Windows is doing some shady stuff and it's easier than ever to sift through data. There are options in Windows that will take screenshots of your screen. Right now they are OPT-In but...do we know for a fact that the toggle switch works or does it just hide those screenshots from you? They claim this feature is to help us find what we've worked on in the past. Now, imagine they store and look through all those screenshots using AI and look for...the Dread logo...could probably have a nice big fat pile of screenshots where they can see your email because they now make you use your email to sign in...and you can see the issue.

7. Always use XMR.

If you do all of these, your chances of getting caught as a normal user, go almost to zero. Do not be a victim to LE.
