Depending on your needs, either make TC/VC container for your sensitive info or encrypt your entire system drive, however keep in mind that encrypted drive does not support windows update, so you must disable them.

There are other encryption programs like LUKS and dm-crypt.
Not having full disk encryption FDS, including and covering your system, is not state of the art these days.
There is no choice of not having full system encryption, for example provided by LUKS.
Even a user friendly operating system installer like Ubuntus most recent version on a usb stick will allow this setup by simply selecting (or just proceeding, since FDS is often the default) FDS.
Disabling windows updates is seriously negligent considering contemporary cyber threats.
It is generally questionable why an operating system update would even need to touch a custom bootloader.
It is known that windows has had problems with this in the past on old BIOS systems.
Sometimes it apparently was even sabotage of other operating systems.
More modern UEFI systems generally do not have these issues, making even dual boot possible.
Maybe you just dont know how to do that yet?

There are better VM hypervisors than vmware.
Either way Windows as a host system is already problematic.
Especially with deactivated windows updates.
Compromising the host system automatically compromises all guests by extension.

make sure to run your vm always via VPN, never use it without it.

Unless the VPN is recognized and disallowed, for example in banking applications.

6. emails and accounts
obviously DO NOT use your own emails on darkweb. email i'm using is gmail, but i stole it like 15+ years ago, so it has no link to me.

You can have as many email accounts under different identities as you want or need.
Email accounts can be bought anonymously with Monero, sometimes even with cash.
If you spam with those, your account will be terminated, of course.
Those email accounts may not even need KYC at all, neither a previous email for recovery.
Just keep your passwords safe in a KeypassXC database and back it up appropriately.
You seem to be lacking the ability to create an anonymous email account.

i have seen lot of clueless people who lose access to their stuff cos they never made backups. you don't need to backup entire vmware, although nowdays USB sticks and SSDs are dirt cheap. just get like 2x 120gb SSD and encrypt it with truecrypt, then you can keep your entire vmware there.

Cheap SSDs, yet you are talking about such small capacity?
Is it even possible to still buy 120 GB SSDs retail these days?
Again, there is better encryption options like LUKS / cryptsetup.

there's also very clever way of using wayback machine (archive.org) to make backup of your truecrypt container. i have tried it myself and it works, so i have backups in wayback machine aswell.

Wayback machine deletes things infrequently accessed, is therefore considered volatile.
The 3-2-1 backup approach is not listed.
Changing file extensions does not change file contents.
Try it out yourself.
Generate a text file.
Make copy of text file, renaming file ending.
Open renamed text file with "open with different application".
On linux you can check what signature a file has using the file command.
And cat will work on both, because it works on text format files.

how to backup encrypted drive
if you need to backup your encrypted drive, then best way is using OSForensics, it's not free, but you can torrent it.

Sounds like a windows OSForensics software and a windows problem.
On linux you can just use dd or rsync.
Unmount the drive such that it does not change data while you are trying to backup a snapshot.
Or mount it readonly, if necessary.
ZFS and LVM snapshots are not discussed here.
Buying backup space in the cloud for locally encrypted incrementally backed up data, paid for with Monero, is not further discussed either.
Somehow i doubt you have anonymous cloud storage space available.

even if your encrypted drive is 250gb and only 50gb is used, you still need 250gb space as it's encrypted.

Apparently you are backing up the encrypted data.
Backing up the real / decrypted data which allows application of different backup formats and programs.
With your approach, your backup program and backup data cannot have any mistakes or else.
There are encrypting incremental backup solutions which will not waste 200 GB for a 50 GB data backup on a 250 GB partition / image / vm image.

i STRONGLY recommend not encrypting system drives bigger than 300gb.

i had to directly choose option to boot from that drive, then it booted the truecrypt bootloader, it was most annoying!

Someone does not have their BIOS config under control.
Or their boot partition configuration.
