very easy 10ml per gram, medium filter (or coffee filter from coles) and make it anhydrous aka use epsom salts to dry it out for 24 hours. few guides online how to do it. But any acetone that is 95-96% is fine if you're lazy and not bunnings one. check out melb solvents etc
Put gear into solution, mix and wet the filter prior to filtering with some acetone and pour solution with gear into filter. Use extra acetone to gear off the sides of a shot glass (good for this) and once empty into filter. Little extra to wash it and boom acetone washed coke - let it try for 5-6 hours under a heat lamp or 24 hrs air dry.
I have done it a few times for coke and I always do it with MDMA. If the coke is great quality I do not bother these days.
I washed and 8 ball of INC's MOP back in the day and it washed down to 2g, but that 2g remaining was excellent. If the gear is harsh and nasty on the nose it helps smooth it as well
This is how I do it.
1) buy some diggers acetone from bunnings and make it anhydrous to remove any excess water that might dissolve the coke.
2) To do this, take some epsom salts, and bake in the oven until it becomes a white/grey power instead of shiny cubic crystals, and add it to the acetone, give it a good shake and let it settle to decant the acetone and filter it in a coffee filter.
3) I put the coke in a shot glass, and using a syringe to draw up the cold acetone add about 20mL of acetone. and give it a good stir.
4) then I let it settle, use the same syringe to draw up the excess acetone and add another 20 mL freesh acetone. And repeat. I usually do it 3-5 times. You could also filter it instead, but it is much slower.
5) the last time don't draw up the excess acetone, tip it in a coffee filter.
6) fold the filter paper and put it somewhere safe to dry.
7) hey presto, pure white washed coke!!!
For shits and giggles, allow the waste acetone to evaporate and see what junk it was cut with.
PS: the link in bigdog's post is far more detailed than my explanation
These days I take 0.2g and convert it to base to roll into joints. This also gives an indication of alkaloid content.
The theoretical maximum alkaloid content of cocaine HCL is 89%, and the cocaine handbook says in practice, if you yield 80% it is basically pure coke.
I do it with every 8 ball from a new vendor. The most I have yielded is 55% from an aussie vendor. Of course, I might have higher losses in the process because I am only doing 0.2g instead of 1g. So it might not be an accurate measure of purity, but I consider it a strong indication of relative purity because I use the same methodology every time.
I use 1mL of 10% NH4 (ammonia) solution. I haven't done the maths on that, I suspect 0.5 mL would be enough. Ammonia is nasty shit, don't inhale the fumes
89% max is un true maybe when the handbook was written (David Lee one I presume 90s era) might of been the case being most Coke was fully produced in the jungle very non scientifcally and the capabilities of anyalytical testing was far lower, nowadays a lot of freebase is converted to HCL in labs in Europe using modern equipment with educated chemists. Product be 95% purity easily these days - maybe not in AUS as certain groups I won't name like to set on it with adulterants on shore. If you have a look at NZ product it is far more pure and well documented as NZ has a free FTIR Spectrometer testing scheme where the can detect adulterants that are 5% or more than main product.
When you freebase what formulas are you using to calculate theoretical purity from the results you're getting? You have to take into account molar mass, variables like losses to environmental factors, losses due to wastage like not being able to scrape all the prod from beaker/cup.
