There was an issue with the endgame server which we are working on now, market will be back online within the next 2 hours. This only affects the main public mirror, the vendor mirrors are not affected.
Our apologies for the inconvience this may have caused!
I mean what do you expect .. its an eckmar market with nothing new or different about it. Not to be mean or anything but there is a reason this market has been in last place market wise for 4yrs. The market looks like it was deigned 8 years ago .. its like today's version of outlaw marketplace
im gonna defend them by saying they are a good market used first time with no issues smooth down for no mor than 12 hours...
AND FYI thats the game you lie in wait till its you time and they all flock to your market and the cycle continues 100% legit and easy to use
That's some good news and I'm glad to hear that, I hope you're also still able to withdraw. If that's the case too I am pretty confident that this is just a temporary downtime. Just hope we can get access to Cypher and with that also to your D-Amphetamine again soon!
Hi,
We were indeed able to withdraw. Still, we will always recommend that you stay as safe as possible, and if you do not feel comfortable right now : wait and see :-)
Stay tuned for the next opening of the D-Amphetamine through our /d/MeribelCorp subdread. Thank you for the kind words ;-)
Cheers,
MBL
Here's my contributive rant:
Cypher Market has been my go-to place for 2-3 years. The vendors I liked were there, they took bitcoin directly to the vendor -- all good.
Lately, it barely works or has glitchy functionality. My vendors are still listed but they're not really there and don't respond, and the few transactions I've gone through with other vendors have all led to them trying to scam me and me having to open a support case.
A little concerning when you know they had some issue with xmr withdraws about a week ago. They sent me the same withdraw 14 times and then a couple days later they told me they would stop sending withdraws until I "repaid" the xmr that they mistakenly sent me.
The same happened in Super. But they fixed it, maybe Cypher doesn't want to fuck around that kind of things and just left.
Or maybe, just maybe they'll fix it and come back. Who knows!
See CANNAMAIL's comment above mates: "A little concerning when you know they had some issue with xmr withdraws about a week ago. They sent me the same withdraw 14 times and then a couple days later they told me they would stop sending withdraws until I "repaid" the xmr that they mistakenly sent me."
Yes, you did indeed receive an excessive amount of cryptocurrency, specifically XMR. As mentioned earlier, we explained that we will be holding your withdrawals until we are even again. You were also provided with the option to repay the amount you received in excess.
I ONLY received and excess of XMR, not BTC. After you had withheld, $1200 of mine you ask me to repay what you had mistakenly sent. At that point my safest bet was to just have you keep whats coming in until we are even. I would like you to share with me an updated accounting of where we are with this little fiasco, of which I am an involuntary participant.
We experienced some minor downtime during the day, but have had no issues logging in via private mirrors since that time and were able to process a new order that came through.
We aren't sure if they are available for customer accounts as we only operate a vendor account. You'll need to confirm with the market admins if this is even an option/feature for Cypher.
In light of /u/CANNAMAIL's comment here in this thread /post/0f317340628a588c15c7/#c-9149e73fb98f533688, there might be serious issues with Cypher, mates. I've tagged Hug and Paris from that comment in case they want to be informed of this issue.
He did receive to much, the issue occured several weeks ago and only affected 3 vendors. The amounts were luckily relatively low and we have put measures in place to prevent this from happening again.
I hate to be so harsh, but they should really launch a missile and nuke that MP from orbit ...and meantime also build a completely new website with an updated UI back in services and data stores. Yes, it's going to be costly. Yes, it's gonna take time but at the end of the day, it's very worth it. Some of the websites are more modern that I've seen and do not suffocate as badly as some of the older market sites, which are probably on different different different types of framework different databases. Some of them might not be index very well and a lot of paranoia around DDOS, which I completely understand, however the image challenges only get you so far and there are definitely better methods out there to research
Another dumb fuck blaming dread/daunt for a market downtime?
I don't know if you're aware of this, but dread admins/staff don't have anything to do with markets.
