XMPP/Jabber + OMEMO. XMPP is a decentralized protocol, meaning there’s no single point of control or failure. OMEMO is encryption designed to enhance the security and privacy of XMPP communications. It provides e2e encryption.

Gajim and Profanity are excellent XMPP clients among many others. Both of them support OMEMO encryption.

> protocol without point of failure does not exist

You are correct, however I said a single point of failure. I was attempting to frame my statement in a way that reflects the context of decentralized protocols like XMPP compared to other messaging platforms/apps.

XMPP avoids having a single, centralized failure point, making it more robust and resilient compared to centralized systems.

Why would you be worried about Element if you were using the browser app over Tor?

There server don't support tor and they collect methadata. I saw this on a post. It's not because of my opsec but is more in general. Also i have read there is a lot cp and they don't do nothing about it.

I understand, it is not necessarily prone to failure, but simply not ideal.

Session is one thing. Many people begin to use it for replacing telegram. So calculate that there will be kind of as many scammers on it as on telegram.
Otherwise SimpleX combined with tor (Orbot on Phone, Whonix on Desktop).

Yeah, well, that blogger is against Session, against Threema, against XMPP+OMEMO.
With all of his negativity - you're better off training a fucking pigeon post altogether 😂
