Now i know this happens all the time but at this point its been...7-8 days i think my order is sitting on accepted. They said they were just answering messages and then returning...to those that this has happened to before, should i give it a few more days? or...its a decent amount of money

This literally means that new customer orders are accepted and I am not being a dick.
NO NEW CUSTOMERS ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED is how a vendor would state that he is not accepting new customers.
