javascript isn't some magic hacking method. all it can do is expose some basic info about your device, like browser user-agent and IP, but if you're behind VPN, then it won't really expose anything.

digital fingerprint isn't unique, it's far from it. it's no proof and in order to do something with it, you'd need other site to cross-reference it against, which means if you get someone's fingerprint, you need to be able to compare it to something, so you need to have access to some known website records like youtube, facebook ..etc and even best hackers don't have that info.

if you'd have access to facebook and their fingerprints, then you'd be able to cross-reference and see who's profile matches that fingerprint, most likely there will be thousands still. based on time you might be able to narrow it down and maybe if person uses same VPN on facebook aswell, you'd be able to match their IP, but this means you must be owner or some senior admin on facebook who has access to this info.

but even then, fingerprint is NOT unique, it would give you a suspect, not the actual person and there's no way of proving it really was that person.
when i used to hack, i didn't just hide, i used other people's details as decoy. i pretended to be incompetent hacker with poor knowledge and i left fake traces behind, something that was bit hidden, but in a way that experts would find the info that i wanted them to find.

Screen resolution & window size
Timezone
Language
Installed fonts (partially)
Browser type & version
OS type
Canvas fingerprint
WebGL info (GPU model)
Audio context fingerprint
Battery status (if allowed)
Number of CPU cores
Touch support
Media devices (names only, not access)
Local IP (only if WebRTC leak, usually patched in Tor)
Mouse movement & click behavior
Keystroke timing
Uptime / performance.now() based timing attacks
Plugins/MIME types

this data can only be used to cross-reference against other websites, that's mostly useless to a hacker. only governments can take advantage of this info as they can order certain websites and services to cross-reference that fingerprint info to see if anything matches, but it's not unique. for example lot of laptops can have same everything as they have updates enabled and they all use same user-agent, time, language ..etc.

digital fingerprint is no proof, it's only indicator and helps with identification.
