I lived in Albania for a long time & still go occasionally. This is just context, so I don't appear to be pissing on your parade. Despite the enormous amounts of drugs (both grown in Albania, and bussed through its territory), this is a highly conservative country with a generally low regard for most drugs (particularly cocaine, almost always to a similar extent with weed). While I could certainly sort you out, the hazard is not picking up, it's being extorted (potentially fucking brutally) by a corrupt cop on the same monthly salary as a US cop earns in one day, who is pissed off with his country being branded a narcostate by people who misunderstand the reality that it is considerably more than this tawdry and boring definition. Be careful man. Asking for drugs in Albania can go down easily in Tirana but in Durres (a city that fell in to the sea recently because 70 percent of all building permits were simply bought from officials & where serious organised crime is behind every inhabited dwelling), this is dumb & dangerous, unless you have contacts & a more credible purpose - i.e. buying wholesale, by the fucking ton.
Side note: which drugs? Should have asked. For 50 bucks you can walk in to one of the right pharmacies and leave with 500g of benzos and some opiates & a bit of Methylphenidate for the lols. Oxycodone is sold over the counter. I assume you are seeking other stuff?
Yes. A box of Alprazolam/xanax (1mg) 60 tabs is 4 bucks. Klonopin is about 2 bucks. Oxy is not meant to be over the counter but it's Albania. So if it can be sold for paper currency it will be sold.
I'm going to guess max 15 dollars for a strip or several strips. The most expensive medicine I have ever bought in albania is ritalin (45 dollars for 30 xr capsules) and that was 2 times more expensive than anything else in the pharmacy.
I am sure shit is changing, and I'm sure that Rinas airport is getting better, but as the last president and last three interior ministers have been sacked for corruption or being literally paid retainers by cartels to make things easy, I'd have zero concern about bringing a few pills back & used to bring 300 xanax at a time myself for friends. At the airport, they are mainly dealing with endemic visa fraud, gun smuggling (massive issue) and trafficking of people. In Albania they won't look at you, they will smile & without shit talking albania (a country I fucking adore), it has to be said that were something shitty to happen before the Albania border I am 100000% certain it can be solved with money, quickly. EU borders will be harder, but UK border even easier.
