Anyone else getting a warning from duckduckgo? : CafeDread | Torhoo darknet markets

EDIT: Ok, now it's working with no problems.

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Tor Browser detected a potential security threat and did not continue to duckduckgo.com because this website requires a secure connection.

duckduckgo.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.

Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT

and their onion site (duckduckgogg42xjoc72x3sjasowoarfbgcmvfimaftt6twagswzczad.onion) redirects to https://html.duckduckgo.com/html which works.

Am I tripping or what?

Get a new circuit. You may have ended up using an exit that tries to MITM.

It happens often.
It is working now even without getting a new circuit.

It switched the exit. There are some exit nodes that are trying to MITM, nothing targeted but to see what "sticks", TLS did it's job but there are many users who ignore the warning and choose to proceed.
Thanks for the info.

THe html version is the one you get using TOR in safest mode.
The onion has been jacked up for months, that's been typical for me.

I just went to the site and it loaded successfully.
My cert is signed by Digicert, not a self signed one.
This will probably get pending mod

Does https://html.duckduckgo.com/html do the same thing?
No, that worked fine. It's all working now.

its because your java script is disabled, the html duckduckgo is the one that works without java script
it has less features but better safe than not, for that not safe connection warning its probably because the browser accidentally gone to the http version instead of the https it always happens next time that happens you go to the address bar on top of the browser and change http://example.com to https://example.com it should proceed normally then
