Are "guides" really worth it : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

I've been browsing various forums, research studies, and projects to gather insights on topics I’m interested in. Recently, I’ve come across some vendors on well-known marketplaces that sell “guides.” Some of these guides seem comical, while others appear to contain serious content that may include valuable insights, but it's hard to tell at face value.

From my experience, I suspect some of these guides might be outdated or filled with general advice that doesn’t add much value, targeting those who may not know better. My main question is: Are these guides truly worth purchasing, or is it better to focus my time and resources elsewhere?

I’d love to hear your experiences and any insights you might have on whether these guides hold genuine value or are just a waste of time and money.

Thanks in advance for your input!

if they're like £1 they give you the very basics, learning things that have already been patched, what os to use, how to use said OS and tools to do what you want, all is free on clearnet, might give you a small starting point, but overall, no

Depends on the topics you're looking at. Guides for fraud/carding are usually ripoffs, imo. Other guides for basic things like PGP and Tails you can find on dread, and even on cn, for free.

99% of the guides for sale on markets are worthless, outdated info you can find for free if you dig enough. the other 1% are expensive as fuck and not worth the price. save your bread

I think it depends on the guide. I'll speak on hacking because I know a bit about it, versus something like fraud that I know nothing about. Im making these titles up.

"Learn the secrets of hacking" is going to be bullshit.

"SQL injection techniques" would probably be somewhat more informative, gathering information in one place that you may have to search around for. If its $5 but it saves you from searching around for 3 hours I'd personally say it worth it. Someone (like a young teenager) with more time than money might disagree.

"SS7 design and architecture" may be invaluable if your looking to getting into phone hacking.

SS7 is like snake oil from what I've looked into super expensive and hard to get access to. I made this post because I'm aware most guides are "BS" but I was just curious is any specific ones were worth it.

If you search "Exposing The Flaw In Our Phone System" on youtube you'll find a video by veritasium that hacks Linus from Linus' tech tips cell phone. He redirects the MFA request from Linus' phone to his phone. He explains that he bought an account from someone offering SS7 access for (if I remember correctly) a few grand.

Its not a step by step tutorial but if anyone is curious about it like it was its pretty cool.

If they're selling guides on "How to make interesting posts on Dread", you might actually want to buy those...
