Avoid dread activity correlation through VPN or Tor connectivity : OpSec | Torhoo darknet markets

This is a follow-up question. I really appreciate any helpful answers.

When using Tor from home I want to avoid that my dread activity could be correlated with my presence at home as LE could easily track when I arrive at home through my personal smartphone. I got the answer that potentially using Mullvad before Tor could help in this scenario.

1) Using a VPN like Mullvad trying to hide Tor usage, should I close the VPN connection once I finished the activities on dread or should the VPN connection stay active as long as possible, i.e. the whole time I am at home until I leave home as then I need to shutdown the PC?

2) And after arriving home should I wait several hours before connecting to the VPN and submitting new posts/comments on dread?

3) How frequently or when I should change or rotate Mullvad accounts?

don't know all of the answers, but mullvard should obsucure connections for most threat models. I would be interested to hear the answer to whether to leave the VPN on or off, or timing for usage.

Does not matter if the tor and your personal traffic are sharing the same VPN. Split tunnelling might help.
1. Don't use Tor over VPN. It won't hide the Tor traffic against the DPI.
2. Don't connect to the Tor from your home wifi. Tor fails from time to time and you get deanoned. Use a remote, public, crowded wifi.
3. You don't rotate the the VPN (don't use it). Rotate the Tor settings on remote, public, crowded wifi hotspots.

You can thank me afterwards. The ones that omit this simple rules are in jail now.

What exactly do you mean by rotate the Tor settings on remote? Ofcorse doing it white beeinflusst in public or crowded wifi and not connected by VPN, but what exactly is meant by rotating the Tor settings?
If you are rotating on the wifi hotspots, but with the same Tor settings, like the same persistent EntryNode, the traffic observer will know it is still the same person ;)
