There is always a loss when cooking it! I don't know about 12%. I've seen different chefs whip different crack and they look different some mess up and lose a bunch. But if you know what you are doing you won't be disappointed with ours.
the 12% just represents the weight of a hydrogen and a clorine relative to the cocaine base molecule cocaine base has a mole weight of 303g (that is how much 1 mole of base withs, which is 6.022x10^23 aka Avagrados number this is how many molecules are in a mole and depending on how big the molecules are determines the weight. Cocaine hcl=339g/mole and hcl is 36g/m, 303+36=339
