Best practices for anonymous social (X) account creation : OpSec | Torhoo darknet markets
For the purposes of anonymous X or other account creation, i'd like to mask as much as possible the IP addr and route of account creation. Is it possible to run through, say, the X account creation from the Tor net? A VPN doesn't feel sufficient.
This current administration has me paranoid and simply desire maximum anonymity.
When creating (or re-validating) a social media account the device and internet connection is usually scrutinized. If the social media service detects deviations they will not allow the account creation / re-validation. Typically Tor exits, known VPN/Proxy IP ranges and data center IP ranges are blocked. Also misused IMEI, mac addresses and other unique identifiers can block as well. Some social media services has lately taken this one step further, if the new account creation occurs with a brand new device in an environment that the social media service consider "suspicious" the account creation might fail (creation can only occur in residential areas, e.g. peoples homes).
What still works is when using a new anonymous phone from residential network connections that has not been used to create hundreds of other accounts. The anonymous phone is not a burner, it might be needed later to re-validate accounts.
So, create accounts at free WiFi provided by dinners and coffee shops. Some residential proxy services might work, if not already misused. Otherwise hacked WiFi's or other places where it's possible to hook in.
When creating the accounts take the usual protection and do not bring any other devices and gadgets with you. Any personal devices or gadgets that radiates WiFi MAC addresses or Bluetooth identifiers can potentially be linked to your newly created social media accounts. Don't bring any RFID cards or other items with passive transmitters with you. Also, blend in with students, remote workers and tourists. Use cash only, avoid surveillance cameras on your way in and out.
I never tried to use tor for twitter but I used more than 5 years tor for facebook. possibly i registered face with normal IP and later I used tor to visit facebook. I never had problem.
Instragram is totally different, I used only one time VPN and I got blocked and tor is surely less tolerated than vpn. now even when I try to create new instagram account, it is not possible from my IP address. it is flagged.
there are many websites where people sell accounts, youtube, this or that, just use search engine or chat AI to get list of website where you can buy youtube or other accounts. some websites sell for thousands euro and some for 10 dollars. you can choose validated and several years old account which never had problem.
