Yeah it fucking SUCKS in EU rn...
You could buy BTC/LTC/ETH or other semi known cryptos from an exchange and then swap those to xmr with like cakewallet for exemple (interfaces itself between you and the coin swapper sites so it's more ergonomic with wallets included in the app)

or peer to peer buy the xmr with haveno or bisq for btc
