Beware Of Mobile Deposit : Fraud | Torhoo darknet markets
Greetings came here to say something brief but crucial to those that are going through the trial and error process of dropping glass.
So approx. two years ago(can't believe it's been that long already) I posted about how to mobile deposit checks like a pro. Well here I am to tell you that is no longer relevant and there is no mobile depositing anything like a pro. Banks understand that this was the primary way stolen checks were deposited into accounts and have the legal right under regulation E to hold your funds. They can hold them as long as they see per their funds availability policy.
Please remember ALL banks/credit unions must legally show you their funds availability policy per regulation E as well so keep these in mind when you are doing self reg open ups for drops. I am not saying mobile deposit no longer works altogher but with the success rate exeptionally low it isn't worth the headache and low success rate. Nobody wants to burn a drop so I wouldn't recommend wasting your energy. As the red flags will fly UNLESS you have an account with a history of mobile deposits that have cleared successfully.
Even then if the check is coming from a person/business that you have never received funds before that is a viable reason to believe the check may go unpaid. As opposed to that there are other options in regards to checks. The best in my opinion being the ATM the risk score is much lower when automatically the machine that can at least verify the paper, MICR ink, etc. is printed correctly. So checks/money orders should be used with extreme caution when using mobile deposit. Good luck
Cheers!
