The slogan of it is "search drugs and learn how to use them safely". That would describe in short words what is Aegis. In other words is a platform with the aim of offering harm reduction advices to the users completely free to use and explore. Aegis is a search engine and online encyclopedia focused on the emerging field of drugs. The first motivation behind the project is to document in a comprehensive manner all the theory and practices related to drug use and through a friendly and easy interface allow our users to browse and find all the information they need. The information of Aegis will be shared with the harm reduction project in which Dread (/u/hugbunter) is working on and we will collaborate together to reach the most possible users. Why did we create Aegis? Media blames darknet marketplaces making them look like the responsible source of overdose deaths. We, darknet users know that is not a common situation but very rare cases. Still alcohol causes several million of deaths, at least 3 million deaths per year, a 5.3% from worldwide deaths per year.
