Bought a bunch of XMR but NOW I want to CASH OUT : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

Long story short, I bought a bunch of monero in 2020-2022 using tails and local monero cash by mail. I used monero GUI for a wallet to store it all on. What is the best way to sell my monero for cash now? Should I transfer it to an exchange, then send it to kraken/coinbase through a friends name and have them cash out for me? I live in the USA and I want to cash in on my coins while staying as anonymous as possible.

I just wrote a comment explaining this. You can use several tools, but in my opinion, the best one is Cake Wallet. You can also use Trocador, but I personally found Cake Wallet to be more reliable.

Cake Wallet is for Android, but you can use it on a desktop with an emulator like Genymotion. You need to send your Monero to Cake Wallet, and then there’s an option to swap. Choose the token you want and paste your crypto wallet address. Cake Wallet will then send the tokens you selected to your wallet.
