Browser extensions on Tails : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets
Is it poor OpSec to use browser extensions like KeePassXC-Browser on Tor Browser while using Tails? I see that NoScript and uBlock Origin are installed by default.
You're absolutely right. Keep everything as default except disabling JavaScript in the security settings menu of Tor Browser. They're defaults for a good reason.
It is *severely discouraged* to fiddle with Tor Browser - regardless if in Tails of elsewhere!
- Unless you know *exactly* what you're doing - which I assume you don't - please don't!
Yes it may cost you like 2 seconds to switch back and forth between windows but I assure you this way you maximize /d/OpSec besides literally doing *offline*-Storage and using something like a Pi0W emulating an HID to *type in* passwords for you...
Sp please don't fiddle with any of the extensions or try to shove one in - chances are it'll rip holes into the security of the Browser if not become it's own attack vector, reducing security...
OpSec is short for Operation Security. It's a reference to all the things you do to keep your anonymity on the DN. Making too many changes to Tor browser, as the OP is asking about, can make the browser stand out on the Tor network, which is poor opsec.
Set "Security Settings" to "Highest" with no exceptions!
JS has no valid reasons to be used in the DN, espechally DNMs.
