Cake Wallet for XMR : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

Is it safe to use Cake Wallet on android to deposit XMR on a dnm?

I would send it to a personal wallet on your phone (Monerujo is a good one) rather than letting Cake possibly lock your funds for sending to a Dark Net Market. I always use a wallet I control before sending to the market, that way you know it really got sent, and can produce a TXID if the funds don't show.

It is my understanding it is best to send from Cake wallet to personal wallet (e.g. feather wallet) then to DNM. I'm sure there are others with more expertise than me that could confirm this.

If you're just buying then you will be fine.
If you are selling then you should use a Graphene phone.

Cake Wallet is safe, but Trocador is better. If you’re a vendor, it’s usually more secure to use Cake Wallet on an emulator.

I didn’t mean to use Trocador to pay for the transaction. I meant using Trocador to swap crypto for Monero, then receiving it in your Monero wallet, and only after that making the payment.

LMAO, I don’t know why I said that. You’re right — that’s why I prefer Cake Wallet. Trocador keeps saying the swap wasn’t possible because it didn’t pass the AML – Anti-Money Laundering.

So Trocador is a no go?

For me, yes. For others, it might seem like the perfect choice. But in my experience, you’ll send your crypto to their wallets, wait for hours, and then have to contact their customer support—only to be told your transaction didn’t pass AML.

I've used cake wallet to purchase for probably 5 years now. It's a solid choice.

I've been using Cake Wallet for two years, and I find it reliable. I once had a problem with the wallet not syncing, which lasted for over a day. I don't know what the problem was, but the solution was easy. I just reset the wallet with the seed.

Seeking advice!I had an issue with Exodus withholding my BTC when I was converting TO XMR the BTC was returned and I forwarded to my Cake wallet. I tried as a test to convert
$100 of BTC to XMR and it was blocked like 3 times? any suggestions? Create a new wallet and send the BTC there then to Trocador? Something strange is occurring with my wallet at cake and yews I have a Cake Monero as well as a Cake Wallet.

Exodus is a closed-source wallet that uses non-standard fees. This makes your transactions stick out and harms your privacy.

So the Coins were Tainted? Should I convert to cash and start from scratch elsewhere?

The reason this happened is because Exodus is dropping XMR. They wont allow anymore swaps to XMR or incoming XMR transactions.

" Exodus ends support for Monero (XMR) on August 10, 2025. After this date, you’ll no longer be able to interact with XMR in Exodus. "
