Coinbase gives info to US & UK LawEnforcement : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets
I read yesterday that Coinbase, as of 2020, started appeasing LE when asked for client info. I'm a small buyer but still want to switch to something else. Another, more secure from LE, wallet like ...??? Monero perhaps?

Coinbase has done this for a very long time it's not anything new. Go read up about a lot of vendor busts, a good portion of them were because of coinbase.
You should of switched to monero a long time ago. Everything with bitcoin is public on the blockchain regardless of where you buy them from. If you're buying btc you should 100% exchanging for XMR so that it can't be tracked back to you.
It's easy to use, even if you can't start off by buying monero you can easily buy btc and swap is for XMR. /d/Monero has a really nice guide that will walk you through using a few different wallets, and there is places you can exchange your coins listed.
ugh. coinbase. I completely regret opening an account with them. They gave me the hardest time closing my account because I had 52 cents in it. which is not enough to do a damn thing with, other than keep an account open bc the balance isn't zero. I don't have any suggestions, I buy the crypto when I need to make a purchase so theres usually only a few dollars in my cashapp, cake wallet or electrum. Maybe check out opsec. privacy or the crypto forum?
in belgium and holland it is a law now al people convicted for drug crimes from the last 5 years if they offer coins they are forst to inform L.E
they say in the terms that you must know for yourself if you are on a list or not
Just to be clear - Coinbase is an exchange, and is thus your shared "wallet". Although you own the money, the exchange owns the wallet. That's why exit scams from Exchanges are so common.
You want a personal wallet, don't send from an exchange. Send from a personal wallet after the coins have been tumbled. Use Monero if you can, but if you use BTC, make sure they are in a seperate wallet from the rest of all your BTC.
