Hello, hope all's well! I'm looking into creating a free, fully anonymous, zero-access email service (similar to cock.li, and many other gatekept services). My ultimate goals are to completely protect the privacy of all users, and of course myself as the operator to preserve the longevity of the project. My philosophy is that there can never be enough anonymous communication channels on both light and dark web, and I'm interested in contributing.

**Some Specific Areas I need Advice On:**
- Domain: Recommended registrars, TLDs, methods for maximizing operator privacy/anonymity when getting a domain (I already know about Ninjalla, but its domain options are quite limited).
- Hosting: Which server jurisdictions would offer ultimate privacy for users, especially against data requests and takedowns? I've considered Switzerland and Iceland, but wondering if there are better alternatives.
- Identity/Legal Structure: Is it feasible to operate the service completely anonymously, or would you advice it be tied to some form of legal entity? If an entity is necessary, which state/country would offer the strongest protections?
- Other Considerations: Are there other critical legal, tech, OpSpec factors that I may be overlooking? I've been a full-time developer for over 15 years now, which has taught me that I'm likely missing something

You cannot host such a service completely anonymously. Email relies on clearnet infrastructure. As proven by the cock li situation, where you host doesn't make a big difference. If a government wants your data, they will have it.

all clearnet emails registered as NGO or other type of entities like offshore company must kiss in ass cops when they come with court order. there is no help if server is located in island or swiss or jungle, if you refuse to collaborate, they can take server from data center without your permission. let's see which data center will not let cops to take your server.

so, try to make dark web Tor email server with onion domain and not clearnet domain, install squirrelmail instead of roundcube and other shit that demand javascript, let people to use special characters to make password when they register email account, recommend them on home page to use GPG to encrypt messages for the case server get confiscated by cops,

so, you logged in with VPN to the website you want to buy server or domain and you pay them with bitcoins (from wallet you never used for other transactions), you write fake information, if VPN IP address is from netherland, you write name and address of person from amsterdam and phone number also.
when you cheated them to get server and domain, you should login to the server to update it and install email server as you want.
install tor in your laptop linux OS and proxychains, change parameters in proxychains configuratiom file to use tor (127.0.0.1 9050), after that you can start tor and use terminal to login to your server (sudo proxychains ssh root@1.2.3.4)
if you want to delete login IP address in server you can do it with command that deletes last login IP info (> /var/log/wtmp) and type last in terminal and you will see, there is no IP address.
so, you must then install email server by your wish, dont forget squirrelmail after installation instead of roundcube and similar, check other things you need to secure email server, to prevent spam in inbox of users, and for the end, install script that will help you to administrate email accounts (add, delete accounts).
after all, you must make website as home page so people can register email account automatically, design should be nice and with warning they should use GPG to encrypt messages rather that to trust to you, don't forget to let people to use special characters to make password.

you will have to give support to the people if they have some problem with your email service, if you don't know how to solve problems in email server, you will have to pay sometimes propfessional programmers who can change error in email server. for example one email service has problem when i send email message, nothing stays in SENT folder and I told them before one month I dont know of message is sent or not and they didn't correct error. they don't know why messages dont stay in sent folder.

so, everytime you login to email server with terminal or adminstrator interface, you must use Tor, if you must use filezilla to upload some files, filezilla has option to use tor also (edit, settings, generic proxy, socks5).
you must also protect server from hackers attacks and cops pentesting (fail2ban and iptables and so on).

then you can offer email service to the people as you want and you can enjoy, as long as you dont get support question from users.
