Sucks to have end up $5 short And have the go through the process of sending another $5 lol. It wouldn't be the first time. Basically with BTC, XMR are pennies.

Depends on the market payment system. With direct pay you are given an amount to send and you send that amount exactly. With old-style wallets you might come up short.

For me it worked the other way around. On DM the price of the order was x.yz3 XMR first, but then they asked to send only x.yz2 XMR, which seemed to satisfy the requirement, even when it still showed the price of the order with 3.
