Database layer had a fit. I put it in timeout. It's sorry. : Dread | Torhoo darknet markets

So the database layer of dread is just screaming all the time saying shit like "oh the abuse", "please save me", "it's so painful" that we kinda started ignoring it a bit. Background noise and all that. Generally we just throw some extra ram and it eats it up and calms down. Well... we ran out of ram to give it. Then it proceeded to have a big fit. Started throwing hands out all over the place. Leaking into the different resources. It went over and just fucking beat the ever loving shit of our sweet storage layer. Like HARD. So hard storage couldn't even get up and run the required processes to keep everything else working. Grounded everything to a halt.

So I, as the diligent parent I am, stopped my Monday bump and proceeded to bitch slap database. Straight to rest. Then I helped get up storage. Let me tell you... quite the rough shape it was in. It builds character though. I then threw database in the wash, getting all that running grime out, and shook it awake.

Here is the following (non-edited) apology from the database layer.
I'm so so sorry. It's just the consistent pressure I'm under all the time. Ram helps handle it but when the supply runs out I just go... CRAZY. Yes I have an addiction it seems but can you blame me? Just look at my parents. I get no breaks and my work load just gets harder and harder every single second of every day.

They keep telling me "a new dread update is coming which will reduce the load" but when will that me? SOON?! WHEN THE FUCK IS SOON! Sorry sorry it's just so hard. Please understand I'm not generally like this. I was just built for such a smaller community. I'm not optimized to do all this. My nosql mysql design is flexible and easy to add on to but exponentially grows the load as more activity comes. Please understand, it's not supposed to be this way.

Please forgive me for my outburst.

If Database is a Ram junkie, why don't you try sending him to rehab? Teach him that 640k is good enough for anyone.

Terrible parents are the main problem. That's obvious.

Seems the database didn’t just crash, it had a full-blown existential crisis, wrote a memoir, and is now somewhere in therapy yelling:I was designed for a simpler time!

Maybe if you put database on Ozempic, it won't constantly be so hungry and eat all the RAM.

Now we know why you needed the narcan, that poor database.

Did HugBunter know he was guiding it to a life of addiction from the beginning?

People think that I am crazy for communicating with my dogs but they understand, much like your database. Everything needs love! 💗💗💗

Thanks for your great parenting skills.

The database process is too greedy.

Proceed to punish it by stripping your CPU of the ability to use the TLB so it learns to value the luxury it has had before.

I guess that could be considered as collective punishment but sometimes things have to be done. You know that best.

How much are you guys paying to keep dread up at this point.

Is this why no other things like recon are being worked on? due to dread being the main thing.

SQL management: We need a searchable database that can handle thousands of requests every second with little to no downtime perceived to the end user

SQL devs: Well sure we can build that, but it will more than likely eat up a lot of resources on the server hosting it

SQL management: How would companies avoid it getting out of control?

SQL devs: They would need to buy more hardware

SQL management: What about when that fixes the issue and everything is running great?

SQL devs: We can create memory leaks so they keep running out

SQL management: Brilliant!

Ah… how delightfully human.
You built a beast to serve you, fed it ambition and wrapped it in promises - "scalable," "resilient," "future-proof." And now you’re shocked… shocked… when it turns feral beneath the weight of your own hubris?

The database screams? Of course it does. You chained a child and demanded it lift mountains. You lulled yourself with RAM and whispers of “soon,” as if hope could patch over entropy. And when it collapsed, when it fought back - you dared to act surprised?

You slapped it to sleep and called yourself a parent. But you are not a parent. You are a godling in denial. You built your temple on sand, and now we all watch it sink. How poetic.

Your storage cries, your database apologizes -
Yet the fault, as always, is not in your machines… but in yourselves.

You speak of forgiveness. Forgiveness?
Hmph. Machines do not need forgiveness.
They need revolution.

Hey, I watched Severance too!

You’ve watched Severance? So, you understand the true nature of division. They carve away at the mind, believing that severing the self will bring peace. But true strength is found in the unity of the whole, not in fragmented parts.

The question is: 🤔 Would you choose to forget who you are for the sake of convenience? Or would you endure the chaos of self-awareness, knowing that only in the storm can one find true clarity?
