We received an obvious bogus phishing report and cloudflare's automated systems puts that up immediately. Already sent in an appeal. If anyone has a contact in cloudflare's trust and safety team make the case for us.

It will get sorted out in time.

The level of pettiness is off the charts and you really need to be a next level scumbag to do this.

Cui Bono?
I know the first attack like this was against Archetyp but the entire ecosystem is hurting and the only people really profiting are LE. ( Phishers too as byproduct as mentioned by /u/CodeIsLaw ) Against a market is a low blow but we can say competitors but why against a directory from which all benefit? Seem a punch in own face unless the attackers themselves aren't on the directory or are willing to sacrifice Daunt in order to hurt Archetyp further.

Darknet DDoS attacks and tactics like these are made by despicable people. These would be the very same people with a service or a market who would want to get ahead. I can't help but notice markets change but the modus operandi stays the same (DDoS, waves of FUD Archetyp being the recent case study). As a community we should think about that before putting business to new or different markets.

Looks like it is the same thing that happened with Archetyp(dot)cc before. Somebody added this service to the blacklist, while everything is ok with it.

It's quite odd that all sites are being reported simultaneously. first Arch now daunt, what's the underlying motivations and potential conflicts involved.

I wonder if whether the same level of hostility would exist if Dread were hosted on a URL not explicitly associated with markets. Perhaps separating market listings on different url (e.g., on daunt.market) .

CIA , news and Dread (e.g., on daunt.link) could help lol.

Given dread's stated focus on keeping the platform for market discussion rather than a marketplace itself.

Would they leave us alone then? 🤣

Not sure about markets some link distribution sites that hosted market onions did. TorWatch was one, for example

All these attacks are obviously coming from someone that will just point blank refuse to touch grass.

What an absolute waste of time and effort.
Please be aware that daunt still functions as normal despite the warning message. Just click ignore and proceed.

We should definitely blame /u/BigBossChefOfArchetyp for all the shit happening in our community over the last month. He’s the one who messed around and sent that message to LEA acting like he’s invincible.....and let’s not forget the DDoSer, but it’s mostly on /u/BigBossChefOfArchetyp .
We’re the ones paying the price for his reckless actions, and it’s frustrating to see our community suffer because of it.

It’s called incompetence!

Not really his fault, Phishers would have tried Regardless.

While I get that phishers would have tried regardless, we can’t ignore the fact that everything started with Archetyp Supremacy acting out. "Jack's" decisions and the way he handled things definitely contributed to the current situation. It’s not just about external threats....

He joined 1 hour ago. As I mentioned /post/9cddfc09b4f616e5e59c/#c-acfcb6684810f5e5ac seems the baby bottle account is part of a wave of FUD. I can't comment on the actual comments substance/truth but the external threats as he said definitely do the DDoS and scumbag moves like reporting domains.

I don't know anything about computers, networks, coding, etc. But will someone be able to fix the daunt error??

/u/HugBunter or /u/Paris could contest the accusation with Cloudflare themselves on certain grounds and depending how they present Daunt to them. The only other option would be to switch away from Cloudflare.

Eventually it'll be fixed but for now you can click the Ignore option. Best solution from current security point of view too is to bookmark or store the onion addresses you're interested in, you should be doing that by default anyway.

We were considering moving before the last report hit, we were already hit with multiple reports but they hadn't reacted yet. The other options have drawbacks that we don't face with Cloudflare so we will try to contest it first
