Late news from June, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it here, so I will :)

Denmark, the Nordic country the little one above Germany is trying to ban messaging apps that offer end-to-end encryption like Telegram along with others. Their reasoning is that it makes it harder to catch criminals.

It’s honestly a joke, but I hope it doesn’t happen, since the EU works like a domino effect one falls, and the others do too. Sweden is even trying to make it happen for the same reason as Denmark.

If we tapped everyone's phones all the time, and put cameras in everyone's houses and on every street, we could catch nearly every criminal. I wonder why we don't do that?

"Banning" shit apps is best done by catching people... the notion of banning Smelegram is laughable... it sounds like a way to make it seem edgy again and fill it up with petty crime retards to help lazy LE look more competent than they actually are.
