Did a direct payment with over 300 confirmations now yet the order is still open : AlphaBay | Torhoo darknet markets

Anyone else having issues with direct payments, has desnake touched base on this because i have 2k just sitting. Im assuming theyr'e doing some type of upgrade. Im only basing this off the fact that they normally close direct payments after 6 hours and mine has been going on 9 hours with 327 confirmations. Please fix this alphabay.

How long is "a long time"? I made a small Direct Pay order to "test" the wallet system (because I remember there were ongoing deposit issues the last time this happened 1-2 months ago). I placed the test order exactly 24 hours ago, it currently has 730+ confirmations, and has still not not been picked up by AB. I'm not a dummy and haven't been phished; I know what I'm doing on the DNM.

Can these reports please be taken seriously because waiting over 24 hours for an order to be verified is nerve-wrecking for customers, especially those with large amounts of money on the line, or those with heavy drug addictions worrying about running dry.

Idk how many people are affected by this, but there are plenty of reports by other customers. Here's some other people having the same problem (found on Reddit because most people cannot access Dread atm). Notice that all these posts were made *after* the "canary, 2FA, deposit address generation" issue had been fixed by DeSnake:

People have turned this deposit issue into a competition: "who has the longest negative payment time remaining for an order?"
As you know it's supposed to expire after 6 hours, but for some reason it doesn't expire and rolls into negative time. I'm on "-19 hours" myself.

Sorry for rambling, it's just all a bit frustrating for everyone involved.

i also have some customers messaging me about this problem. this is for direct pay orders. orders with market balance goes thru ok. problem is with direct pay orders. they doesnt show as unpaid after 6 hours so this must be some system problem and i hope admins will be able to fix it fast

You guys are absolutely correct. Again we are 100% transparent about any problems the market is facing when we see them.

There are always tickets with people who have made deposits and they have not landed. This has happened to every market including our for too many reasons to list. We have always made these right when we have determined that the error was on our side and not a phished user or a transaction that could not be confirmed.

Staff always address these issues at the appropriate level after asking the user for the required information to fix their problem.

There are always some accounts that have this issue. Not just this week. The reason is that sometimes the order is under paid, then the customer gets the balance in their account but the order shows as payment required still. There are other common issues that I will not bore you with all the possibilities.

There has been a delay like /u/DeSnake said in his post on some credits but they are all coming through.

All withdrawals have been processing without issue.

Any tickets that I have verified the information about direct pay have been sent to DeSnake and as you can imagine he is behind on tickets with the DDOS and other issues we are finding and fixing as fast as we can.

If you sent XMR to the market you will get credited.

If you need to place an order and you have two direct pay that never gave you an XMR address please register a new buyer account until we can clear those for you.

If you are more comfortable do a direct deposit to the market then pay for the order.

I apologize to you and your customers for the delay, but we will get everyone what they are owed.

i have 1 ticket open from months ago that isnt closed and when i go to make another ticket about this issue it says i have to many opened? how do you close months old ticket? i replied on old ticket and no answer?

i dont doubt that admins will resolve these problems. they always do! thats why i love AB.

there is another serious issue: tempest
i have three disputes and they all are with him. buyers already asked to close them because issues were resolved but nothing happens for a long time
i see that i am not only one who has problem with this mod. maybe he is not logging in at all now

i have sent you message with these disputes. please fix them nothing much to do there they all are solved. just needs to be closed

Finally, an intelligent response with actual facts and answers to the same questions that are on everybody's mind. Until now, all info has been super vague and did not inspire any confidence. Thank you for letting us know 1) Why direct pay is not working 2) How the the problem is expected to persist/approx time for a fix 3) possible workarounds 4) what will happen with our funds and orders


I have a specific question. I have two orders. I sent funds for one order:
Payment time for current order: -39 Hours 35 Minutes

The second order still says
"Monero Deposit Address:
Your deposit wallet address will be generated in less than a minute. Refresh the page after a minute."

Do I need to create a new account to clear this out?

I assume this has already been resolved but no you do not need to create another account. We dealt with all the deposits that were sent and needed to be credited first.

Then we fixed the issue you describe and those should have all been fixed. If you are still having an issue a support ticket through my still goes a lot faster then a post on Dread. I can not be everywhere at once. That is why I am replying 2 days late.

I know, I know, we all want tickets and issues fixed in 2.1 minutes but everyone works as fast as they can and the higher you go the more work / access comes with it so unfortunately that tradeoff is slower ticket and dispute responses. I am still averaging under 12 hours a reply and 24 hours at max. We will get problems sorted but our priority is on the market not Dread.

/u/pf1zer /u/kernelmustard u/lifeonmarzzz - some transactions have taken longer to complete as due to the canary we had an extraordinary amount of transactions in a very short time exactly after it was fixed. So if your transaction was in between those then it might have been slower. You can test a transaction now and it should complete it within the given time.

/u/itzmerdoc - it is in the queue. If there is an issue you can raise it in the same ticket.

My order just went through :) Thank you, feels like a massive weight lifted off my chest.

While you're around, could you advise on how we should handle orders where the deposit address never got generated? I've got 1 order stuck like that, and have no way of cancelling it or anything. I created that order a few days ago when the canary had expired. It still says "Your deposit wallet address will be generated in less than a minute". Do I need to open a ticket? Is it in some sort of backlogged queue that will generate the deposit address eventually? Will it auto-expire and disappear from "My Orders" page after X days?
