Hello world!: I am glad to see Dread back up.

I am sorry to see what happened to AlphaBay. I am biased due to history but I like some of the innovation that they did and the I2P push I think will help the community in the long run while we wait and learn more about daunt. I have never been a fan of anyone becoming too big or too central as it can be a liability but it has become clear that TOR is untenable as is against DDOS and I welcome a solution. I hope that in the long run it is a good one.

With Dread back up and proving to be the only reliable platform over a long time period for this community I wanted to post a gentle reminder to everyone.

First on a long enough timeline everything fails, or moves on. I would like to thank Paris and HugBunter for what they do for the community for as long as they can keep what must be a tremendous headache running!

I am sorry to see the end of AlphaBay. I think everything right now is speculation. It is rare that a market can rise from the ashes the way AlphaBay did and earn trust only to collapse in it’s final months the way it did. I had limited conversations with their staff. It is obviously a disappointment but I am looking forward to see who replaces them with security, ease of use, volume of sales and new ideas.

I am also posting this due to another safety issue. I have for years been aware of LE claiming to be me and random strangers doing the same. It is an honor and an annoyance. I am a nobody, surely there are better people to impersonate. Just like phishing, always be sure of who you are talking to and verify everything. My PGP key has been on Dread and unchanged.
