Do I need to clone any tails with persistence from another tails stick for security? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets
A while back when I was originally engaging with DNM, it was necessary to clone tails from another tails rather than using a usb stick that was created from windows. Did that become unnecessary with a newer version of tails? I dont see it on the bible anymore?
Add /bible.zip after .onion in the dread url for a downloadable copy of the darknet buyers bible.

It's easier that way though. I mean you can boot the other Tails backup and update it that way, but it'll take longer downloading Tails over Tor again.
USB drives get corrupt, lost, etc. You'll want multiple encrypted backups of your PGP keys, KeePassXC databases, etc.
The issue I'm talking about was that the first copy of tails made from windows was considered not secure, so you needed to make a clone of tails from another tails and then ditch the old one for it to be sufficiently airgapped. Is that still the case?
