As the title says, it's just amazing and pretty cool how you have so much freedom of speech while being pretty much anonymous. You can learn so much I've learned a ton over this time, whether it's about opsec, crypto, or something else. Dread is amazing.

Of course, we've got some idiots like pedos, but the staff is pretty good and quick to get them banned.

And markets it's truly something crazy. Being able to order drugs from your comfortable chair and then have them delivered to your door. Markets like Archetyp and others are my favorite. I was close to using Incognito, but we all know how that ended haha.

The point is, you all are amazing, this community is amazing, and the "darknet," "deepnet," or whatever you want to call it is the best.

Do you guys have to recall months ago was shut down for , I think , 3 months or so. I could never imagine how I missed dread the time it was out, we don't really appreciate what we have ( generally talking ) until we lost it

I was just thinking about that and would check weekly to see if it was back or what the news was on it, of course it was a time when I really needed the Dread community as well. I wish I could read that "We're Back" pinned post again, Maybe it's in Hug's post history though...
Because I can't remember if the old stuff is archived or not

this is the main reason I miss the darknetmarkets subreddit. it was so active. even if it wasnt very secure to post on there you could still read through the posts and most of them had dozens or hundreds of comments on them pretty quickly. I'd kill for an archive of the sub

I mean, it would be a shitload of work to reassemble an archive that way - I've seen someone reassemble a full offline copy of [redacted] solely from shapshots since that domain got pwned by LEAs ages ago.

That's just a result of the LE recruitment and retention crisis - public sector workers don't earn enough to afford the cost-of-living crisis fuelled by the global debt crisis. Unemployment has been rising for past 2 years, and police corruption with it; and scammers are going elsewhere.

You've seen how in NYC, muggers are just going into restaurants unmasked and robbing diners at gunpoint, then leaving on mopeds. This is like "failed state" level crime.

How long before the cops become the robbers, like in most developing countries, because it pays better, and they have all the resources to get away with it?

Running scams on the DW is probably unrewarding for the effort needed.

its fucking awesome man and im so glad to have returned to this hidden service. I really did miss this place, just so many new names i don't know now around here. I have been so out of touch with this community for so many years and its kind of sad to think about. Wish I had stuck around longer, all the drug ads and everyone high drugs while trying live a healthier and sober lifestyle just made it so I could not be around here. Benzos and stims were ruining my life and im glad to have gotten out of that roller coaster.
