The voting system is flawed in it's current implementation. It is fair for the community to decide on the winners but you cannot control alt account manipulation.
Sooo the usual - you and/or the mod team decide on the winners. Mods can participate, but those who participate lose the right to vote for the winner. Comment scores don't influence winner selection.

I totally agree with you. The template is pretty standardized at /d/contests so hosting it there and crossposting it here imho might get the best exposure and results but vice versa works fine too. I have sent out a search party to locate my sense of humor.
