Lot of comments saying Exchange > cake wallet > market. I'd set up a proper Monero wallet (easy to find on your favourite search engine). Then it's exchange > cake wallet > monero wallet > market. Much safer and handy to have a monero wallet anyway, more flexibility for sending the exact amounts. Key is ALWAYS use someone with no KYC requirements where you have to input any of your actual information (cake wallet and monero wallet both fine for this)

fuck no their app sucks for other cryptos. hella buggy. I got $100 sent to it and checked the blockchain said it was there. still nothing on cake wallet so i took my seed to reload it, still nothing. took my seed to another wallet and bam, right away instantly, payment was there. FUCK cakewallet

just use trocador to swap and any other wallet besides cakewallet lmao especially on debian

You need to wait for the wallet to sync with the blockchain. Cake calls it some decentrelized bullshit but it pretty much just means you need to load the whole blockchain yourself when you open the wallet. It's more secure and more on your local device or some nerdy shit like that.

i did. everything was loaded up and the shit would not come through at all, even after reloading. fuck that shit. I thought I lost $100 til i tried my seed in another wallet, just a glitch. a really fucked up glitch

use it if you want to, just DON't lose the seed in case it happens to you cuz yeah fuck that. if i had lost the seed. ida had $100 on a wallet that cakewallet wouldn't let me see... fuck that. glad i saved the seed though to load it up in another wallet. the instant i loaded the seed on a different wallet, bam money's there. so it was 100% something fucked off in their app

for me personally, there's plenty of other options. i even looked it up and searching "cakewallet deposits not going through" and apparently it happens quite often.

The fastest way would be non-anonymous, through an exchange like MEXC or KuCoin. They require government ID to buy Monero. But for small purchases it might be ok. Just be sure to transfer your Moneros from the Exchange to your personal wallet (like MyMonero, for example) first. DO NOT transfer to the market directly. Always to your MyMonero wallet first.

it doesn't take long to move BTC if you use the L2 for btc
it's called the lightning network

download muun to open a lightning node just deposit your btc to your muun wallet
from there you can make lightning transactions which usually takes less than a minute to confirm
