You’ll also learn how to add an extra layer of protection with ProtonVPN (using ProtonMail, i know it's not the safest option out bit this tutorial is totally free, and is made to keep you anonymous throughout all parts, including creating the mail ,

including how to enable a killswitch via CMD to prevent accidental leaks (this basically cuts the program off instantly if it senses that you're not connected to your VPN anymore, even for a millisecond.

Finally, I’ll show you how to use VirtualBox snapshots so you can quickly reset your setup anytime — perfect for experimenting without worry.

I'll just add, when you first boot up the gateway, best to do a full update & install then change the password from default. Restart the gateway. Make sure the time sync have completed and then boot up the workstation and do the same with that then restart. Whonix will be fully up to date. Then continue with downloading Proton.
Great guide, thank you.

You don't generally need a VPN after a Tor connection unless the websites you want to browse don't work with a Tor exit node. But you may want to use a VPN before Tor depending on if you want to hide your activity from your ISP.

But in general this all works. Nice.
