External Wi-Fi Adapter on Tails issues - Alfa : Tails | Torhoo darknet markets

I've been using duck.ai to attempt to resolve this issue. Not the best with tech, but the time I've put in has helped. I've had it working before, but removed my loudspeakers and disabled the webcam is the only changes. I keep going in circles. I had duck write up the details below where I'm hitting a wall.

I’m currently facing a challenging issue while trying to install the driver for the Alfa AWUS036ACH USB Wi-Fi adapter on Tails 6.16, and I’m reaching out to the community for help. While Tails is an excellent operating system focused on privacy and security, getting hardware like Wi-Fi adapters to work can sometimes be a daunting task.

I’ve been following the steps to build and install the driver from the source code, but I keep running into a persistent error during the build process. Specifically, I’m encountering the message: "No rule to make target 'DISK/realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms-main'." This seems to be related to the build system misinterpreting the directory path due to the space in "USB DISK."

Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:

Used Quotation Marks and Escaped Spaces: I’ve tried enclosing the path in quotation marks and escaping the space in the directory name, but the issue persists.

Ran Make Directly in the Source Directory: Instead of using the -C option to specify the kernel build directory, I attempted to run make directly from the driver source directory.

Checked for Conflicting Modules: I ensured that no other driver modules were being built simultaneously, as this can lead to conflicts.

Considered Using DKMS: I’ve looked into using DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support) to manage the driver installation, but I’m unsure how to proceed with that.

Despite these efforts, I’m still stuck and unable to get the driver installed successfully. If anyone in the community has experience with this issue or can offer insights into potential solutions, I would greatly appreciate your help!

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. Let’s work together to overcome this challenge and get the Alfa AWUS036ACH USB Wi-Fi adapter up and running on Tails 6.16!

then
ip addr

specifically the text of your device
I'll just tell you now and save you the hours of struggle I attempted myself -

Trying to get a WiFi device that is not supported in Kernel 6.1.x in Tails is a waste of time.

1. Get another USB WiFi card
2. Get a cheap extender that has Ethernet that duplicates as a wireless bridge and plug this into Ethernet (Assuming you have Ethernet and it's working properly in Tails) - I had one laying around
3. Encrypted Debian USB drive that does support your WiFi card natively and install Whonix

this is probably what I need to hear. I had it working once which has made my stubborness go overtime.

Will #2 option allow me to use wifi that's close?

Thoughts on the Cantenna idea?
