FAREWELL TO ARCHETYP MARKET, YOU SERVED THE COMMUNITY WELL. : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

Farewell Archetyp market, It was a good 5 years run and I hope you come out on top.

It was a fearless market run by no nonsense admins that made it the best and biggest in the last five years, we shall always remember that.

TO THE REST OF US;

We all know by now that LE is fully invested in busting all and everyone of us. So I want to call upon all Vendors buyers and Market admins to ensure encryption is mandatory.

Believe that no order is too small for you to loose guard about encrypting your sensitive information.

We have asked for people to always encrypt but somehow buyers overtime get so relaxed and forget that there are people out there dedicated day and night to bust you.

Let this be an eye opener that they are on us 24/7.

For now we clean house to all affairs regarding Archetyp and wait to see who fills the vacuum.

PS; PM ME FOR ALL THOSE THAT HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING ARCHETYP AND I WILL BE HERE TO ANSWER

I was a vendor on Archetyp Market. Honestly I already miss the market.. the nice looking UI, quality features and the support everything was just so unreal..!
Frustrated by this I am thinking of creating my own DNM.. The one which looks and feels similar to Archetyp but with more categories and options for vendors to explore. Join me with this movement.. The world needs a true and robust DNM whose goal would be to stick here for at least a decade..!

I don't know if that would be feasible unless you are talking about decentralized markets of some sort. I remember Bizarre Market or something like that years ago was going to be the promised land of decentralized markets. Never caught on. i forget what it was called, some sort of peer 2 peer type thing.

But i question whether a 10 year marketplace would be possible. Unless something major changes, it just seems like there needs to be a lifespan of markets. Shut down gracefully after a few years. like WHM did - they were the most popular at the time and they quit during their heyday. I'm sure it was hard to walk away from all that but that's the thing - they walked away. Too many unknowns. exploits via tor that just make it a matter of time. It gets to the point where you ask if its even possible to escape the long dick of the law. if a market only gets away with it as long as they aren't on le's radar, then there's an absolute expiration date.

You're thinking openbazaar as the decentralized market that never caught on. Pretty sure you had to download something for it to work or some other reason people didn't really want to use it. Was a good idea in theory.

Yeah that's it! I think you're right in that it required you to download something. I think they had clients and then "nodes" or maybe they were built together where you run the client you are participating the p2p network. I wanted to say that *some* vendors tried it out but never caught on. Too many technical hurdles. You have people using auto-encrypt b/c they don't want to spend 10 mins learning how to do it. I think openbazarre required some tech knowledge and setup. But yeah in theory interesting idea. I think that's the only way to get a DNM lasting 10 years like the person ireplied to is saying. I don't think that's doable with the current way of doing things unless you are state sponsored or something.

Syscoin's block market (which they abandoned) was a great solution. I think they stopped developing it because listings for weed and shrooms started popping up and they were trying to go public with their other products and services. It was really interesting.

A cheers and moment of silence for Archetyp. So much talent was lost in one day.

Great writeup (as usual), Heineken.

Archetyp was a special market. We all owe some gratitude to the big boss for keeping the thing together as long as he did.
