There are very little cases where a mother would die from giving birth, as c sections are very effective and safe.
If someone younger was raped, a c section would work for them as well, rather than putting them through more pain than necessary by delivering the natural way.

i do believe that giving birth is very unlikely and rare even c section no need to argue about it.

but for C section operations it needs to require blood transfusion and causes issues with the respiratory(lungs) and internal bleeding

I think that the decision should be with the parents. If they decide that they don't want to burden our society with disabled newborn, then they should have the option to euthanice the new human, rather than damn force the human to a life in wheelchair.
Lets assume that the new human has disablities and malformations that damn it/she/he to a life in wheelchair with constant pain, would you in good spirit accept that some humans would constantly suffer for all of its life? And remember that this human would outlive its caring parents thus draining our resources after the caring parents have reached elderly state and outside help would be needed.

Think about yourself. You have working brain but if you would have to live your life in constant pain while not being able to wipe your own ass, or even go to the toilet, would you enjoy your life? Even eating would not be possible for you, think about it.

I think whats happened is that the religious right minority have seen the word abortion in the title and started frothing at the mouth like the mad dogs they are.

At a certain point the baby is considered viable, meaning it can survive outside the womb with medical support. Another part is more of an ethical consideration, when the baby is developed it has the capacity to feel pain. But that's not at the early stages like some lunatics are claiming. In the end, I do advocate for a limit, though a reasonably balanced one. 0- weeks is ample time for women to decide. Mind you, I am fully aware that decision is not easy. I am a man so I will never know what it's like, but I do empathize with women who find themselves in such a predicament.
