First time buyer: Red Flags? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets

First time buyer, I've been messaging a vendor on Arch via PGP but the vendor isnt responding with encryted messages. Is this a major red flag?

Also the vendor seems to be relatively new (like a month) but has well over 350 reviews on Arch all positive. On Dread 4-5 reviews and also very positive. Is this fake or legit?

Appreciate advice or other red flags to watch out for! Thanks!

Are the messages your receiving containing sensitive information? If they got intercepted could they ID you or the vendor or your package in a way it could be intercepted? (I might be missing something in my examples)

Messages are me asking about the product and how its shipped. Vendor answering my questions. No ID or address or info to identify either of us

Okay, as mentioned make sure you have your public key posted so vendors can communicate with you appropriately

Not a major red flag excluding mission-critical conversations (addresses, tracking #'s , etc.).

Keep in mind you have to have your public pgp listed for your vendor to be able to converse with you through pgp!

Not providing your pub pgp key would put 100% of the responsibility on you, imo

No problem! Us vendors go to great lengths to protect buyers (even from themselves sometimes).

the only time you should worry about someone not using pgp is with personal critical info such as your address. if you're just talking about stuff that doesn't matter if found then putting it in pgp is a waste of time. good question tho.
