Getting tracked with BalanaEtcher : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

I used BalanaEtcher instead of Rufus to download Tail OS. I found that there a a lot of privacy concern with BalanaEtchcer. I want to purchase stuff from DNM. But I'm worried that BalanaEtcher leaking my IP address or something to the authorities. What should I do?

This makes no sense. BalanaEtcher is flashing software. It just burns the OS image to your device. It doesn't do anything else.

No Balena obviously would send your IP address (not even the right one) to the authorities once it sees the tails iso. OP trippin

Even then unless the tails usb has mac address randomization off and you use the pc with balana on another drive the balana machine's ip would be useless?

Even i'm shocked many ppl claiming it's true , then use a vpn or something when downloading from site or use something like file hippo , then turn of internet connection while installing. then use.
use linux like mint or something then install using terminal (recommended) ,
And worrying abt security and opsec is a very good thing , there are some ppl even run dark web sites and get caught bcz of small mistakes, being cautions abt security is a very good thing .
even i doubt rufus now , i downloaded it to boot linux on it and i downloaded latest version , who download old version , then it's asking me to check for latest update something, why so they can get ip while updating or something. not sure btw,

just ignore and use we can't change past , let's think they have ur ip now , still there are low risk , bcz it's hard to verify. they use these types of data to compare ip addresses something like that u can imagine.
but still ignore and use , and don't use windows for gods sake use mint or other linux distro . if u think i'm not that good with terminal use mint. it's super simple , and almost have nothing to configure manually just check install additional codecs and u are good to go .

The warning only affects users on Windows & macOS. However, most users of the darknet are on Linux, so it doesn't really matter. Plus, they only share the file name (the version of Tails installed), USB Drive Model & the IP address. I assume you're using a VPN, RIGHT? Because if you are, then it wouldn't matter, since the other info is quite meaningless.

OP it is glaringly obvious you dont know what you are talking about and have no clue what you are doing. Balena just writes Tails to the USB. You use Balena one time, it is not "working with Tails" or whatever you think. I am honestly pretty confused and I think you should explain so we can all share a laugh in this learning moment.

Ya know, maybe OP kinda knows what they are talking about, since Tails.net specifically says:

We stopped recommending balenaEtcher to install Tails from Windows in 2025 because balenaEtcher shares sensitive information to the Balena company that allows identifying who is installing Tails.

Sorry, I know I sound stupid. It's just that, Tails not want you to use Balana Etcher to download Tails. But I used Balana Etcher despite tails telling me not to. Why doesn't Tails want you to use Balana Etcher?

wtf are you talking about. Who is this tails that is telling you what not to do? Tails is an operating system and Balanetcher is just a software to flash an ISO. I'm sorry but your lack of ability to learn simple things means you're probably not ready to buy things that requires your to be smart about opsec.

Maybe try not to be so condescending when you clearly aren't as informed as OP:

Per tails.net

We stopped recommending balenaEtcher to install Tails from Windows in 2025 because balenaEtcher shares sensitive information to the Balena company that allows identifying who is installing Tails.
