Great website! Some suggestions. : Dread | Torhoo darknet markets

First of all I'm very impressed with your hidden service, HugBunter. It has great potential. I've thought about writing something like this in the past because Reddit fucking sucks for talking about illegal activities, but unfortunately I haven't really found time to implement it. The fact that it makes perfect use of modern HTML/CSS without using JS is amazing. I have a couple of suggestions if you don't mind and I'm sure that you have thought about some of them already, but I'll list them here anyway:

  • making it OSS so that the community can improve, audit and run dread => I don't think you would lose any users (unless you become a giant dick, but I highly doubt this will happen;) nor it would be a security nightmare since you said that you're confident about your code and that's probably not because of security through obscurity
  • PGP login or even register w/o any username/password => former derived from fingerprint or uid
  • green check marks for valid PGP signatures if the key is known while also making it more pleasant to read => arguably this could easily be faked by you (in theory) and mislead the reader, but at the same time anybody who tries to verify the authenticity will discover this anyway
  • anonymous posting: being able to post without an account, but enabling this should be up to each subdread (+option to enforce it); require captcha for every post or session to combat spam

quick observation... when dread is viewed on a mobile device the side bar element scales not the dread post. eventually taking up the entire screen.

This is an awesome point. Can we have a hide unhide sidebar checkbox?

Hi thanks for the words and suggestions.

  • I plan to make it open source in the future, but it is not ready for prying eyes right now whilst in the early stages. I am not proud of a lot of the code, very hacky in places due to the short time period of which I completed it in. Considering it mimics most of Reddit's features pretty well, I believe I did well to get it to this point within around 3 weeks. But yeah, seriously it'd be an eye sore to look at the code right now.
  • I will consider adding 2-fa PGP login soon to protect Moderators of large subs/prominent users, but it is not something in my development timeline just yet. I want to stick with using accounts just because anyone could use such an anonymous account to do a lot of things, but it could be something to consider if I find a solid way to implement it, I'd have to alter the permission functions once I've cleaned up the code.
  • Same deal for the PGP signatures, I would need a way to check against PGP keys properly, I'm working on another project soon which could aid this a little. But that's something that could be edited on my end, so I don't want to have that sort of trust on my head, if it was altered by a third party somehow.

I too am loving this site, as well as the UI. The thing I've noticed so far is that if you aren't logged in, it still lets you comment, just takes you to a 404 page. May want to just disable commenting if someone isn't logged in so they don't think they just keep getting an error?

Xi JINPING doesn't seem to care about the stock market at all. Indeed, the Chinese stock market and even the world stock market have now become a casino for financial valuation. Existence that is decoupled from the real economy. Feel free to toss.
