Read the /d/dnmbible.
It will solve all your questions, even the ones you might have in the future as a darknet user.

There is a section dedicated to Operating Systems.

1. Wrong sub.
2. Even if you posted this on /d/opsec, mods should delete this because it should be a prerequisite to read the DNM Bible before you post. DYOR and read the manual for fuck sake.

The worst part is that we can actually fix this, but we aren't. Set some rules and give warnings to such people. Once they hit 3 warnings, they'll be banned from posting on /d/opsec. (They can still read and comment, though)

Why aren't we doing that?
/d/opsec posts are already required to be approved to be posted. I'm unsure how this would help here. If you would like to share more details, feel free.

No fucking way. No fucking way such dumbass posts were allowed on /d/opsec.
Just look at the subdread. It's fucked. I can't believe the mods there are letting that happen.
This is /d/cafedread . Would you point out a specific example for me please?

Sure, I'm happy to help if you need anything. I can write down a checklist one must finish before they are allowed to post.

Also, the current OPSEC FAQ sucks. I'm happy to help fix it if y'all mods want.
/u/Beelzebub that's not my section. Saying it sucks may not be the best term either if you want to win people over.
I just did the formatting. Blame /u/DaVenom and /u/SilverTeam for the content.

We may have another candidate for my very special Flair.

Well, with all due respect, I didn't mean any offence.
1. The major problem is that the FAQ mainly just off-sources the content to other posts (which is fine, but the questions are not basic enough given the rise of the above mentioned posts).
2. Another issue is that the threat levels are pre-made, which kinda discourages people to figure out their exact threat level (and how to do that as well)
3. The "Which is the best option?" section can be summarized in the wiki itself. Nobody wants to switch tabs and read an entire post on why X is better than Y. We should give them the facts straight.
4. The "How do I do it?" section is so damn broad it doesn't add anything.
5. The "Image Hosts." section can be under the "Which is the best option?" section, as it is a recommendation as well.

In short, there's a lot of writing, improving, and refactoring to do.
You know nothing about making wikis. That's so obvious.
I'm not going to bother to say more than that.

It's just an FAQ section? What's wrong in my criticism? Would you elaborate please so that both of us can learn from this?
I have better thing to do with my time.

Some things just can't be helped, eh?
Create a sub and show me how to make a wiki.
That should be so easy for you.

Are you asking for a tutorial on how to make a FAQ section of a wiki?
No. I'm asking you to make a better one than I have.

That currently isn't my job. It is the moderator's job to maintain the wiki, so I gave you, a moderator, some criticism. However, it seems like you aren't accepting any criticism and want to outsource the work instead.
You do what you want with that criticism. I'm not a mod so I won't be writing anything.
Cheers.
