Hosting a small dead simple hidden service website VPS vs from Home : OpSec | Torhoo darknet markets
Given a dead simple DN website HTML(only get and header are allowed with CSS and no JS) displaying the contact info, wallet address, products & pricing and the intrucrions how to order...
Would you rent a VPS and host it on it, or would you run the VM at home? The Linux OS amd the web server engine is hardened well, only Tor allowed in/out and the whole Tor connection is tunneled through a multi-hop DAITA enabled VPN.
I am sure that the VPN paid by XMR and only accessed via SSH via Tor + DAITA & Multi-hop VPN is the safest option, but it might be overkill. Way too overkill.
Same question applies when accessing the market.
I could have a Whonix-like setup where Pfsense is acting as a Tor proxy via DAITA multi-hop VPN and a hardened Ubuntu desktop is used to access the DNM(it would be Tor(browser) over Tor(Pfsense) orver VPN(beidged from the Host VM)) as a vendor vs VPS accessed on the same way as described above.
until ppl like beelzebub exist ppl are not safe
