Hotplating is never a bad idea. You just want to be careful as there is a sweet spot for heat.
Too little heat and not much evaporation will occur, too much and you will fuck up your coke. Always better to air on the side of too little heat though, as that doesn't damage the blow.
It really depends on microwave but I have success with aroudn 70-90 seconds. I touch the plate then and what you want is for it to be hot, but not so hot it immediately burns you. You wanna be able to touch it for 3-5 seconds without discomfort, but still have it be pretty warm
Unless you use a meat thermometer or something to verify the temp of the plate after nuking it. I would suggest using a toaster oven instead at around 180c / 350F. Once it gets up to temp turn it off and leave it in for a few minutes
I'm trying the toast oven thing right now, but at 200F for 15 min. 350F is a lot higher than most recommendations...can you elaborate why you think it should be higher?
pure coke will melt at 190C / 370F. Heating the plate to 350 will burn off a lot of fillers/adulterants without damaging the actual coke. This is why I recommend turning the oven off when it hits temp because the oven would need to get itself hotter than the set temp to get up to that temp and potentially ruin your coke.
ya hotplating pretty much saves u from getting a hole in ur septum tbh. well for the most part unless ur an extremely high frequency and large dosage user
100% worth it. It stretches your product further and makes it finer. It's also easier on your nose. Do a comparison: weigh out 1g and chop it up your normal way, then weigh out another gram and hot plate it. I guarantee you’ll see a difference between the two :)
Thanks for posting this. Was on the fence but this sold me. Just didn't want the obvious Amazon order but seems like it's worth. If anyone has suggestions for a good one, feel free to post.
From a recommendation by another user in this community I bought the Misby 50w large mug warmer on Amazon and it's perfect.
Large surface that is glass so you can chop on directly on it, temperature control, and super light/portable to take with you wherever. It's an AC-plug that isn't detachable so keep that in mind, but for under $25, it's a no brainer!
Always, no matter the purity or whatever. Bonus points if you crush it up through a fine mesh tea strainer onto to the hot plate, you'll have movie quality looking coke with that technique
It helps chopping it finer, but doesn't solve the fundamental problem of coke that will still be very concentrated on your mucosa after snorting. To completely solve the nose problem, use a nasal spray (aka liquid coke).
Mine was itchin and had boogers then I hot plated and it went away, it helps evaporate residual solvents left and the sniff is smoother
