I'm not suggesting this, but I recall possibly knowing people who just ignored the letter and still got things in from beyond the international lines. Obviously it would depend upon your personal country's policies regarding these things. My advice would be to just lay low for a month or two, order normal stuff, domestic and beyond. It isn't feasible for them to search all of your mail for all time, let alone a week (packaging/shipping is a pretty tough and stressful job). From what I've gathered from various sources, most of the time the "Love Letter" is more of a scare tactic than anything.
Don't get me wrong, you're likely still playing with fire, but it's not as hot as you might think. As long as you aren't shipping large weight (or selling anything more than... let's say, your Adderall prescription), then you will most likely be fine. It kind of all depends on if LE are planning any of their "operations" or raids that they do a couple times every year so they can look like they accomplished something to their superiors and their funding isn't cut. But yeah if you're just a normal "Joe" who contributes to society and like I said—Not selling/buying large weight (especially internationally)—then you're probably going to be alright man. They have bigger fish to fry.
BTW if the Love Letter was suggesting you come into the local precinct for "a talk" or anything like that—do not go. Yes people are dumb enough that they actually do this, in the eyes of the Law, you may as well as have admitted guilt (as nonsensical as the logic is for that).
