How fucked am I? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets

I downloaded Tor on windows today with no fucking clue how does dark net even work, went on a (as it seems, trusted) DNM and ordered like 40 bucks worth of 4mmc (internationally, which I learnt is not good too). ONLY THEN I stumbled upon dread and DNM bible and noticed that I did almost everything wrong (sent btc through binance, didn't even know about Tails, etc.) My question is, how fucked am I and is there anything I could do to cover up my traces, and if there's even a need for that?

Right, mate, you've made some mistakes. Don't beat yourself up for those mistakes, but rather learn from them so you won't make similar mistakes in the future. Honestly, you're not in bad shape, as I'll explain a bit in detail.

Binance might track your btc to the market and suspend your account. So get yourself a btc wallet and transfer out any remaining coin as soon as you can. If you start using Tails, you'll have Electrum Wallet installed on Tails you can use right away (remember to enable Persistent Storage for Electrum). If Binance suspends your account and you have no coin in it, you don't lose anything except an account that is compromised.

A few bits of a drug won't cause you any real trouble internationally. The package might land without an issue, which is the best outcome. Then there is the chance you've been scammed, which while not good is a risk we take with every order. The worst that will happen is your package will get seized somewhere along the journey, and you'll likely get a "love letter" from customs telling you you're a naughty person and don't do this again. Well, they'll say your package was seized and invite you to come down and claim it, which you will of course not do. I repeat, do not attempt to claim the package if it's seized.

You have an extremely low chance of the package being delivered by LE, who will ask you to sign for it. It's called a contrlled delivery. If that happens, refuse to sign and let them take the package away. Deny any knowledge of the package. Again, do not sign for it, as doing so removes some plausible deniability regarding the contents of the package.

Once the package is either seized, delivered, or "lost in transit" (as a scamming vendor might say), remove all coin from the market account and abandon the account. You can create a new account not associated with the original account, and make future purchases through the new account. Simple as pie, mate.

As things go, and as I said at the start, you made some simple mistakes made by a lot of people starting on the DN. God knows I made my share of mistakes early on. The thing as I said, is to learn from these mistakes and grow from them. You'll most likely be fine.

Now take a few breaths and read through this again, and plan how you'll move the btc out of your binance account if some is still there. Plan how you'll manage your existing market account, including removal of any btc that might remain in it. Lastly plan what to do in case your package doesn't land, because if it lands successfully you're probably good to go.

Thank you so much! Luckily I purchased just enough btc to order what I wanted, so there's no waste on either binance or the market (like 2 bucks lost haha). About that signed package, in my country parcels usually if not always need to be signed for, never had anything from abroad so I don't know if that'll matter. Should I take precaution and even if anything arrives, if they ask me to sign I should just abandon it?

1 - Don't buy btc, is't expensive. Go for something like LTC and then change up to XMR through local monero. BTC can be traced. XMR gives you anominity

2 - Never transfer straight to market from KYC

3 - Well done for finding Dread

4 - Verify market links, so you don't get phished

Never sign for a pack from the DNMs

Ah, go with what your country normally does, mate. You can always claim you didn't know what it was, although you lose some of that insurance by signing. Be confused about the package if you want when you sign for it. You want to be as regular as possible to avoid raising a suspicion. Most likely for the small amount you ordered you'll get a letter rather than a package, I think. That'll be simpler for you if it goes that way.

Also, you can touch base with the vendor in a day or 2 and ask if a signature is necessary from their shipping method. That way you'll know you've got a package to sign for if it comes that way.

All solid advice from /u/partytime
Most of us have made some mistakes along the way. Just learn from them and move on; in your case learning means following partytime's suggestion about moving coin out of that account then following the DNM bible step-by-step (Tails on usb, anonymous wallet on tails to recieve XMR from your exchange and send to markets, leaning to use PGP to verify market mirrors and send personal info, etc...).

you have nothing to worry about

think of it like speeding down the road in your car....you are one in a billion and not a big enough fish on anyone's radar

That kinda soothed my paranoia, thanks! Moving forward tho, as I'd probably want to continue using DNMs if this order works out, I should stick to the DNM bible. Just how big of a risk is it down the road if I don't do anything about todays "incident"?

Just take it easy....thousands of sales happen on the dark markets every day and pretty much all go though very well.
The escrow system is the best method along with the vendor/buyer feedback.
You are on the best market system in the world.
Think of it like having sex with girls. Most times you will have wonderful experiences, but once in a while you might catch a std, but you just roll with the punches and know that when you add up your wins and losses....in the end you're always further ahead.

You can NOT WIN unless you take a risk and play the game of life.
Have no Fear...
The losses just help you get better.

For example, never bet more than you can lose.
So if a vendor rips you off, no problem....try again and eventually you will hit pay dirt.

Much Love

/d/superlist. Best market is subjective. This question will get several different answers and invite scammers to pm you links to the "best market".

Follow the DNM Bible like a ... Well.. A bible.

Change your procedure. Go to Walmart. Buy $5 thumb drive in cash and install Tails on it. Keep it away from your PC until you are ready to browse/purchase. If you MUST buy BTC, take it from there to another wallet or direct to LocalMonero/CakeWallet. And if you transfer to a wallet before going straight to an exchange if you are worried about getting your BTC buying ability frozen by the exchange {Some track where the destination is, if it's straight to a Marketplace, that can be a problem}.. Then yeah.. exchange it on LocalMonero or CakeWallet or something. Transfer it from THERE to your Tails wallet, from your Tails wallet to the market over TOR only, and then make purchases encrypted using Kleopatra that is on Tails.

Extra steps means more loss on money because of TX fees, and if you do the automated exchanges they will have XMR at a way lower rate, but that's the cost of doing business. But... Don't buy drugs with BTC. I haven't used BTC for drugs since 2016/17. If the vendor only accepts BTC, find another. There's so many markets and so many vendors.

If I .. Idk, wanted to buy something that was $200, I would buy $230, and that extra 30 would erode over the course of TX fees depending on what speed you want it to go at. There's other exchanges like Bisq or Kraken or even inside of CakeWallet, but for the most part, choose your own path. Switch it up between purchases. Never use the same address twice. Use wallets that allow multiple different forward-facing XMR/BTC addresses. Obscure, Obscure, Obscure.

Breathe. You're fine. Just make sure you are taking care of yourself, and any drugs you get, test them for Fent, even if their reviews were solid recently. And yeah, do your research. Check out the subDread for whatever substance, see who people are buying from and who is getting lots of recommendations. And most of all.................

HAVE FUCKING FUN! {Just maybe.. Idk.. Never browse while high.} And keep your Thumbdrive unplugged until your computer is off, boot straight to BIOS or Quick Select menu, so your HDD never even once detects that drive. Rereard the Bible.

EDIT~ And stay domestic if you are in the US dude. X-Rays are never your friend. Even if the stealth is good, a Mylar bag can be enough for them to cut open the box JUST to be ultra sure {Especially if you are midwest US, It'll go through Port Authority in Chicago and they are notorious for inspecting packs from like the Netherlands just on principle and potentially burning your address with the love letter. Best of luck brother!}

That's a bit paranoid buying a usb stick with cash. Who doesn't use a usb?

if the USB is found with TAILS on it later, and it can be linked to OP, this could be a liability. For example, if it was in the trash, but not wiped; this suggests an effort to tamper with evidence relevant to an investigation. the serial # can be looked up and connected to a card payment etc.

It's just better to buy things with cash in general...it's a small thing, but small things add up. In a criminal investigation, it is often strange what ends up becoming significant...

It's being told to a guy who is freaking out because he just used his Windows PC. I think he can use all the help he can to feel better about staying anonymous ;-) Obviously it's no requirement, just trying to be helpful for someone having a meltdown.

I mean hell, I remember my first beer.

Sending coins from an exchange to a market is a great way to get your account permanently banned though. Just future refrence. Bounce the coins around. BTC to XMR most markets use xmr anyway

I'm assuming you did but as you didn't specify it in your OP, make sure to PGP encrypt your order address. Vendors may reject your order if you don't. I usually use a third party program rather than using a markets built in PGP encryption option for peace of mind. When communicating with vendors you don't have to encrypt every message if there is nothing identifiable in the message but there is of course no harm in doing so.

Where I'm from, certain packages have to be signed for too so if you have to then do so.
