How fucked am I? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets
I downloaded Tor on windows today with no fucking clue how does dark net even work, went on a (as it seems, trusted) DNM and ordered like 40 bucks worth of 4mmc (internationally, which I learnt is not good too). ONLY THEN I stumbled upon dread and DNM bible and noticed that I did almost everything wrong (sent btc through binance, didn't even know about Tails, etc.) My question is, how fucked am I and is there anything I could do to cover up my traces, and if there's even a need for that?
Binance might track your btc to the market and suspend your account. So get yourself a btc wallet and transfer out any remaining coin as soon as you can. If you start using Tails, you'll have Electrum Wallet installed on Tails you can use right away (remember to enable Persistent Storage for Electrum). If Binance suspends your account and you have no coin in it, you don't lose anything except an account that is compromised.
A few bits of a drug won't cause you any real trouble internationally. The package might land without an issue, which is the best outcome. Then there is the chance you've been scammed, which while not good is a risk we take with every order. The worst that will happen is your package will get seized somewhere along the journey, and you'll likely get a "love letter" from customs telling you you're a naughty person and don't do this again. Well, they'll say your package was seized and invite you to come down and claim it, which you will of course not do. I repeat, do not attempt to claim the package if it's seized.
You have an extremely low chance of the package being delivered by LE, who will ask you to sign for it. It's called a contrlled delivery. If that happens, refuse to sign and let them take the package away. Deny any knowledge of the package. Again, do not sign for it, as doing so removes some plausible deniability regarding the contents of the package.
Once the package is either seized, delivered, or "lost in transit" (as a scamming vendor might say), remove all coin from the market account and abandon the account. You can create a new account not associated with the original account, and make future purchases through the new account. Simple as pie, mate.
As things go, and as I said at the start, you made some simple mistakes made by a lot of people starting on the DN. God knows I made my share of mistakes early on. The thing as I said, is to learn from these mistakes and grow from them. You'll most likely be fine.
Now take a few breaths and read through this again, and plan how you'll move the btc out of your binance account if some is still there. Plan how you'll manage your existing market account, including removal of any btc that might remain in it. Lastly plan what to do in case your package doesn't land, because if it lands successfully you're probably good to go.
2 - Never transfer straight to market from KYC
3 - Well done for finding Dread
4 - Verify market links, so you don't get phished
Also, you can touch base with the vendor in a day or 2 and ask if a signature is necessary from their shipping method. That way you'll know you've got a package to sign for if it comes that way.
Most of us have made some mistakes along the way. Just learn from them and move on; in your case learning means following partytime's suggestion about moving coin out of that account then following the DNM bible step-by-step (Tails on usb, anonymous wallet on tails to recieve XMR from your exchange and send to markets, leaning to use PGP to verify market mirrors and send personal info, etc...).
