How many layers of cake? : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

Let's say I wanted to secretly send Monero to Mr. Pink.

1. I'd send Bitcoin to an exhanger, which would send Monero to my main (clearnet) wallet.
2. From there, I'd send Monero to a seconday (darknet) wallet.
3. From there, I'd send Monero to Mr. Pink's wallet.

Would it be just as clandestine to send Monero from my main wallet to Mr. Pink? Or is it remarkably safer to use that secondary wallet before sending to Mr. Pink? I'd like to cut out one layer, for convenience and to save on fees. I thought it to be wiser to have an extra layer. But the more I learn about how the Monero system works, the more I think I can drop the secondary wallet layer.

Anyway, I hope that all makes sense. Thank you in advance to anyone who comments.

From my 5 year experience I just buy BTC or LTC on any exchange, then I send to TradeOgre, swap to XMR and send from there. Never had any issues and I always use PGP even for a simple message to the vendor

Exchanger to dark wallet to mr. Pink
Better yet exchanger to dark wallet to another dark wallet to mr. Pink.
That way you throw off the link from the exchanger to the first dark wallet.

Can you explain why you send monero from exchanger to clearnet wallet? Why not just exchange it directly to a darkent wallet?

I'd suggest not using bitcoin as the transaction fees are much higher than other coins. Send your cheapcoins to a tor exchange eg infinity and send the xmr to a tor wallet eg feather.

Well, yes, you could do that but it doesn't hurt to have the middle man. Better to be safe than sorry in the long run, safest option is the best option. Are you a vendor or just a regular occasional buyer?

Depends on your threat model.

In general, I prefer to have extra layers. The fees are low.
