How to download Windows installer from whonix? : whonix | Torhoo darknet markets

Windows blocks Tor connections from downloading installation media. Is there a way to anonymously download a windows installer while using whonix?

Edit: VPN + residential proxy worked.

The only Windows "installer" is made by Microsoft itself. It provides you with either an .img or .iso but the ISO is what you want and there are many 3rd parties. I would rather get it straight from Microsoft.

Thanks, the problem that I am having is that Microsoft is blocking my requests from VPN or Tor. I will make an edit to this post explaining the solution I found.

If on laptop, goto cafe and hookup to wifi. Then download via normal net jus to get it. Spoof ure mac too if possible.

This will work over Tor and VPN. I Seriously hope you're not going to use Tor or get Windows 11. Really, do not use Tor. It's not good for the ecosystem.

IF your using qubes, flip the network setting to sys_net. This is your default internet connection, the sys_firewall is your TOR connection.

For anybody reading this thread, sys-whonix is routed through TOR, sys-firewall is not TOR. Also, Microsoft won't allow the download through all VPNs.

You route whonix through sys-firewall. Sys-net for normal tinternet. So any vm u want bounced via tor u ise sys-firewall and any u want nornal web u use sys-net.
