How To Use SimpleX on Tails? : Tails | Torhoo darknet markets

I am trying to get SimpleX to stay in the Tails persistent storage but after 3 tries, it never works. Everytime after I restart Tails and relaunch the SimpleX AppImage, it will either give me a Java Stack Overflow error, or it will start off with a fresh version of SimpleX without an encrypted database

It's got its own proxy support. No need for torify.

Settings - Network and Servers - turn on "Use SOCKS PROXY"

Should be good to go!

Yes I turned on Proxy at 9050 like the guide said but it still returned the errors that I talked about in the original post. I tried again with the updated version of Tails and I got the same error. Did you get a chance to actually try it on bare metal?

No I did my VM. The software did launch in torify/torsocks (The Appimage) but that didn't seem necessary. You could give that a shot.

I'm specifcally trying to install it on TailsOS, not on a VM. Do you know any guides for that?

My Tails VM is the same as launching it bare metal. Don't be confused.

To run a software as torsocks just open terminal cd to the appimage and do "torsocks ./simplex-blahblah.appimage" I would turn off the socks proxy. Give it a minute to launch. See if it'll connect.
