How vulnerable did this potential mistake make me? : OpSec | Torhoo darknet markets

So just recently my Tor updated the security level settings (standard, safer, safest) to make it necessary to restart Tor once you change from one setting to another. Before this update, I would just switch my security level from standard to safest (to turn javascript off) but I wouldn't restart Tor. I would just switch it from standard to safest and thought that would actually make the change since the shield icon in the top right corner would change from unfilled in (standard setting) to fully filled in (safest setting), but I'm guessing I may have screwed up by not restarting Tor after that change was made, and every time I switched from standard to safest without restarting Tor I was actually still on the standard setting the whole time even if the shield icon was updated?

If this is the case then if I accessed a market during this time thinking javascript was disabled but it actually wasn't, how exposed am I after the market seizure? Will my javascript enabled site activity from before the seizure have created any digital footprints I should be concerned about now that its seized?

Any insight on this is highly appreciated.

Man it's hilarious watching people squirm because they bought some drugs online.

Folks, We got 'em. We tracked Richard Dickleson here buying a gram of dope and with the help of the force and the US government at our backs, We got em!

You are 100% less important than you think you are. You would know if this would matter for you.
You'll be fine.

I do recommend going to about:config and setting enable.javascript to false

It depend's, if you visited a market with JavaScript unknowingly enabled, you may have exposed your browser to fingerprinting or telemetry. If your OPSEC was good (no reused identities, fresh circuits, isolated environment), risk is lower but not zero Treat that session as burned, stop using anything tied to it, and don’t repeat the mistake.

i asked myself the same thing. I would guess that it still worked before, even without restarting the browser. I mean if you change some settings then that has an effect on the browser, even if you didnt restart it. I did the same. But did you remember before browsing anything to first change that settings? i believe then there is nothing wrong with that
