"why does dread not draw as much heat to when in comparison to markets?"
-- Dread is a public social forum not a market. Like everything, populations has highs and lows.
-- Go check out Tor Metrics. Darknet is at a low point right now.

"who founded dread??"
-- Three months and curiosity just kicked in? HugBunter

"please take a thc dab before replying to this post"
-- Stay sober.
I thought it had gotten quieter here. From 8 million Tor users in February to 2 million in June is amazing.

Between 11/17/2024 and 11/23/2024 the number of users connecting directly (without the need for a bridge):

Image: https://metrics.torproject.org/userstats-relay-country.png?start=2024-11-17&end=2024-11-23&country=all&events=off

https://metrics.torproject.org/userstats-relay-country.html?start=2024-11-17&end=2024-11-23&country=all&events=off

Very close to 5 million users (from a free country).

Ironically, about this time LAST YEAR, on October 21, 2023, the Tor browser reached its highest daily usage, with over nine million users worldwide.

So, in one year, we're down quite a bit and the darknet is at its lowest population.
I wonder if their numbers are accurate.
On 08/23/2013, it says there are one million connections, and on 09/04/2013, it says there are five million.
That's a massive increase in two weeks.

Most of the OGs are all gone. People come and go frequently on the darknet.
My Reddit HippySurfer Darknet account has a sidebar that says, "Hello Octopus, I'm Beelzebub." It has a June 2016 Cake Day.

Is that OG enough for you?

holy fuck.
That's my second Reddit Darknet account. My first one was tied to my Gmail account.
No one was talking about OPSEC 10 years ago.

Do not mistake silence for lack of activity. You assume that people want or need to talk to you. Reddit is full of screaming children.

I didn't look for a lot of clients, maybe because the time was too short

Dread is fast but people are gone.I was also out for a year or two when I stopped ordering. Honestly, after finding so many great vendors thanks to dread, I can't imagine leaving it if I keep ordering.

I honestly like it. It's peaceful. Only a small number of screeching idiots here compared to the rest of the web.

Also less work for me: I only have to log in once every couple of days for an hour or two and that's all I need to do to know what's going on in the darknet world.

why does dread not draw as much heat to when in comparison to markets?

Because this site is full of moralfaggots. This site attracts all the normies and wannabes, so I sit here like a spiderweb waiting to catch a nigga who means business. Sick of these geeks man. This site is just Reddit but for niggas who are able to use Tor. Same faggot users, same faggot rules.

When I first came here, I loved it. Then slowly realized how shitty this place is.

/d/murderhomelesspeople is full of dumbasses who don't know shit about dealing.

/d/hacking is full of dumbasses who don't know shit about hacking.

/d/fraud is full of dumbasses who don't know shit about fraud.

I cannot stress enough about how normie this site is. The no guns rule is the nail in the coffin.
The drug subs are a lot better than the crime subs.
There's a lot less scammers.
Most people who subscribe to LSD have managed to take LSD successfully.
Most Fraud subscribers are clueless idiots who are going to end up in jail.

I feel that the issue is more so if we allow these things on Dread, LE will be forced to take action against it. Fully agree on the retards in those subdreads though.

I don't see the point of having a site on Tor if the rules are going to be same as clearnet sites, might as well put it on clearnet instead.

There's a multitude of reasons. Supporting the main way TOR helps people stay anonymous, stopping LE from getting too involved with the site, and the mods not having an anyeurism every 2 seconds. There's also the fact that most gun shit online are honeypots and since Dread tries to be a reliable source for Dark Net newbies, having people try and ascertain when these services are safe to use, and even how to use them safely, is too much of a headache for the operators to deal with right now.

I think I have noticed a drop off in darknet discussion too. IDK what the deal is
