I would like De-Snakes opinion and yours as well. : AlphaBay | Torhoo darknet markets

So I put in an order for a sample of hash. I literally paid 5 bucks. What I received was a full ounce. Now, lucky as I am this isn't the first time this has happened. (Different vendor though)
The first time it went unnoticed.

So, the vendor messaged me and asked if I'd return the product. Further offering to let me keep some as long as I'd return it. Now here comes the reason I'm posting it here. I left a review of what was suppose to be my sample letting him know they sent an ounce, had I not done that I'm not sure if the vendor would have even known.

So what do I do? I'm open to returning it but want to hear from experienced buyers/vendors/staff what they would do and also possible implications. Thanks everyone.

do not send it back that is unnecessary exposure that you are not experienced enough to handle correctly. you do not want to risk this. it could allso be a set up. if i was in your situation i would buy it from them and re sell it and make some side money and profit off of it. some will tell you to keep it and tell the vendor to fuck off but i am sensing that you are a honest person and i commend you for this.

do not mail it back it is risky for you. it is allso unbelievable that a vendor would expose thenself to a customer by accepting a package from a customer. some thing is not sitting right with me about this situation. do not mail it back just buy it and sell it by the gram to your friends and make some money.........

Howdy

1)

i owuld tell him u will buy it for 50% the price he charges

2) if he wants u to send it u are not going into the post office and u will send it normal post but ur keeping 25% for stress

3)

he will have u send u a pree paid lable if he wants it sent next day delivery but again u want 25%

4)

tell him its his fault and this will be a nice lesson for him to learn to not mess up orders again

upvoted, likewise shipping back is not safe for a buyer without experience, best opinion he better pay 50% to the vendor and keep it for himself.

/u/Preview-Of-Freedom and /u/rambouk2uk gave excellent advice.

Best you can do is purchase it but do not send it back as if you are asking questions about this, it highly indicates you would not know the correct way to go about returning it anonymously. If I were also you I would make sure to have used a drop and not address that can be connected to you.

Thank you.

I hope your advice is more personal than administrative.
Maybe this would be what you would do but it is not the correct option.

----

1. Alpha-bay connects millions of customers from many countries - with vastly different circumstances. Vendors understand and accept their threat model every time they fulfill an order which is why it is their responsibility to ensure that when the package is sealed and shipped that they are OK with whatever amount/quantity it contains.

2. The idea that /u/fy2m can use your platform to order a sample of a product ($5.00) and now be told by the Director of said platform 'Best you can do is purchase it' - when he receives 56x the amount expected. (Assuming a sample is half a gram).

/u/DeSnake - You should step up and put pressure on the vendor - Explain that this is the consequence of sloppy business and give him a warning for even suggesting to the customer that it needs to be returned to him.

3. Expanding on your comment - Do you really think that /u/fy2m could even establish a secure drop address safely when you just said 'it highly indicates you would not know the correct way to go about returning it anonymously'. Let alone have to endure such expenditure.

You are offering poor and low quality advice to a major concern.

I do my best to stay anonymous. Vendor stopped responding anyway. Found mold in one on the jars. Eww

vendor should be names and shamed he clearly has no idea of opsec and is a risk to customers. Not intelligent enough to be a vendor

yes if what the op is writing is true then i agree that they should be named so prospective buyers can avoid them such sloppy opsec is startling.

The care that vendors put in for packaging and mailing packages (or definitely should) is much more extensive than a buyer might understand or should be expected of them to figure out. Like /u/Preview-Of-Freedom said, it's unnecessary exposure and I personally would come to a resolution with the vendor that avoids that scenario.

Although I'm sure it happens, I personally would also be wary about a vendor making such a mistake but maybe someone can enlighten me how common it may be or on why it might not be as bad as I think.

what intrigues me the most is that the vendor is offering to give a customer a address to ship product to........ that smells so fishy that it makes me think that it could be a set up or we are talking about one of the most rookie + stupid vendors to ever be a vendor......

At this point I highly doubt you will get an answer from DS. homie is sooo fucking busy right now and got so much going you can tell he/she hasnt been around dread much lately just to due all the work that goes into being a number 1 market. I am sure one of the staff will answer.

Also can everyone stop pinging the guy to death. I have never seen anyone get pinged more than him ever.Let the guy work!
